Pens 25-26 thread

Mrs. Fan - The Ducks look like Reese's Peanut Butter Cup uniforms.
 
That was I think one of the more memorable Pittsburgh losses that I can remember....Unfriggin believable.
 
Lost the lead with the smallest possible time that can be left on the clock at the end of a game.

So they checked that record off the list......

What is it with this team that they just can't blow damn game wide open? They had 16 shots in the first period.

And I wanted to turn the TV off when they missed all those chances in OT.

Ducks unbeaten in shootouts. Pens winless in shootouts. Silovs in net.

What did we think was going to happen?
 
Guys, Silovs is a rookie and he's going to be just fine. Look at how long it's taken for Jarry to be dependable between the pipes. Can they get rid of Karlsson already and bring in a true Defenseman? Why do the Pens leave their Goalies out to dry?

That would be hard to do even if there was no goalie in net and you stood there in the blue paint with the puck and a stopwatch.

Still, you have to be happy with the effort these guys put out every night. They are light years ahead of where I thought they would be this year.
 
They are fun to watch regardless of the outcome. It's also fun to watch Muse pull the young guys up trying to find the right chemistry and bolster lines.

Dryden was one of the best ever.
Incredible career and story.
Excellent human being.
Only person I've ever written a fan letter to; i was 9.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Dryden one evening while he teaching a course at U of Toronto.....I got to spend about 5 minutes with him, it seemed like an hour.....I had so many questions to ask, so much I wanted to hear.....but he only wanted to know how I was doing, how school was going, and when he found out my hometown, he was so excited because his younger brother had played their a couple years; huge smile just thinking about his selfless interest in some kid who ambushed him in a cafeteria.

I cannot stand the Evil Habs, but Ken Dyden was the best goalie in the modern era of NHL and international hockey and
probably the very best ever to put on the pads.

He was clearly one of the best ever. That Patrick Roy guy wasn't too bad either.

Martin Bordeur was better than Dryden, IMO.

The Pens did a great job adding Jacob Fowler to that list tonight.


I hope this game was an anomaly. They didn't look good at all.
 
Jarry traded to Oilers. I can't post a link yet. Lame cell signal.
 
Personally, I’m not real thrilled about the deal.
I believe we could’ve got more for him, and add insult the injury. Our second round pick we received is in 2029.!

He did get his act together. You just never know if he is going to regress.

Could we have gotten more? Maybe, but I think the goal was to unload a large contract and get draft picks. If the goal was to upgrade, we got ripped off. I don't think that was the goal.
