Initial Thoughts on lions Game

Defense led the way today against the #1 offense in the NFL and held them in check for 3 1/2 Quarters

Jaylen Warren & Kenneth Gainwell are a great RB tandem!

O-line is really starting to click right now!

DK Metcalf is a DUMMY! Probably going to get suspended for at least 1 game!

Adam Thielen is starting to get comfortable in this offense....that's a good thing. He can really find and exploit a zone Defense

The Defense today without Watt & Herbig played great!

I can't blame Boswell for that miss! The guy hit a 59 yd FG earlier in the game!

Dylan Cook keeps playing like he has the past 2 games.....he should remain a starter! Lets hope he shuts down Myles Garrett!

The defense played well...I wouldn't say great. They gave up 361 yards...thing is our offense put up 481. That's the ticket.

Good point. His 57 receptions really isn't a concern, it's that the Steelers don't have a WR1 with 80+ receptions right now. I know DK isn't a volume guy and that's what the Steelers need this offseason.

2 guys rushing gave Golff all day to throw.

that aside, it’s a very BIG win for our beloved StEELERS.

Tomlins strategy usually ends with a lucky win...
i donlike some of their defensive changes, but i hate droppin 8 or 9 into coverage late with a lead

ESpecially, against the quarterback we were playing against today.
That guy is not very good when he senses any semblance of pressure
 
So with having Herbig, Highsmith and Traveling Jack Sawyer under contract, trade TJ for as much as you can get
 
Roman Wilson is a bust. Austin is a role player. Thielen, MVS and Scotty Miller aren't all pros but at least they run the right routes. Hopefully Arthur Smith is able to make the offense more vertical.

Should Gainwell transition to WR next year? Maybe he's the slot guy they've been looking for. He can still play RB at times. He's reminding me of ex Brown Eric Metcalf who transitioned to WR.

The NFL is wide open. If this OL keeps getting better, he defense stays relatively healthy, and the new WRs run the right routes, the STeelers really do have a shot. Denver, NE, Jax and Buf are all flawed.

The tripping penalty by Highsmith damn near cost them the game. What a brainfart,but otherwise good game by him.

I wish this team could put together solid performances for a full 60 minutes. You're up 29-17 with 5 minutes and it takes a monumental effort to win,with some luck and penalties.


The next game will be the Browns superbowl. They should defensively mind **** Sanders into turnovers. There's no reason they should lose this game.

It damn sure is a watered down year. Nobody is dominating consistently.

The offensive line and I would include little Hayward laid the lumber today..
What did we have like 240 on the ground? When was the last time the Steelers ran the football for that much yardage?

They did indeed. Heyward at FB on one play blew up the LBer in the hole, Gainwell runs right past the collision and cruised for 12 yards.

And I cannot remember the last time they ran for 230 yards and even more importantly, 8.5 YPC!
 
My initial thought after that nerve racking ending was that someone needs to be held accountable for our shaky 4th quarter defense.
That’s 2 games in a row now.
