You want them to make the playoffs who cares how they get in. You want them to get there and win. It has nothing to do with anyone relaxing. They shouldn’t and aren’t good enough to relax. But I damn sure want them there by hook or crook.
I know it's a debate, but while I think rest is very important, you need to balance it with keeping your edge. That's the only reason I'd rather have them have to win to get in. They beat Cleveland the Ravens could win by 50 and it won't mean shiit, right? I think it's better for a team mentally to get in that way than sort of back in.
They need to go full tilt no matter what the situations is. I know people won’t agree with me but part of them being on the same page is getting those reps in and tweaking those reps in the process. As when they build that cohesion they can elevate their game as a team. For me if I am coaching them I am dialing them in no matter what the rat outcome this weekend is.
