Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's.............week 16..............@Lions.......

Watch this. This is why he called them out a few weeks ago about not coming to meetings and stuff. As McAfee says here this is probably why we see the offense performing much better the past few weeks. Rodgers wants to change things as he's seeing what the defense is doing and the other guys need to be bought in and know when he signals something what that signal means and do what he tells them.

There are two great clips in the first 4 minutes of this that showcase how he operates and alters the play Smith sends in after he diagnosis what the opponent is doing. He also helps break Warren on a TD run by pulling the safety over to DK by faking a bubble screen.

Good stuff.

I guess there's a reason why he won NFL MVP 4 times. I'll be honest,I didn't watch much of his NFL career. It was really only when they played the Steelers.

If I'm the coaches,I let him run whatever he wants and change anything on the fly that needs to be done.

It's super impressive. I wish he was about 6 years younger..lol. The guys arm is certainly young.

You still need the OC because the offensive game plan is dictated partly by what the opponent identity has been for that season, but when you have a vet and unique talent like Rodgers he can see what is happening on the fly and adjust out of that.

I wanted him here since he left Green Bay. Those were wasted seasons with the Jets where he could have made the Steelers a contender.

People were dogging him during the losses earlier this year, but now we know the reasons why we were struggling. Credit Tomlin for bringing in Thielen and MVS because they are both vet savvy and know you have to work hard and understand what the QB needs from you. And they get it done.

What was it Hines Ward had on a t-shirt?

" Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard."

Forgot

Game Ball to every Steeler fan week in and week out on pins and needles. No way any of us can sit on the coach without up and down yelling at the coach, the players the officials. Getting up making comment here in emotional high response. Congrats to each of us and we all deserve the game ball.
It's fun though, and even more so now that it looks like we could make some noise in January if the team(offense mainly) can stay focused.
