I just realized I have hopes for the 2025 Steelers winning a super bowl.
It happens every year at some point.
Usualluly it is training camp. I buy into the off season changes. Draft picks, free agent signings. Etc.

It doesn't last. Something happens throughout the season to were you know it isn't the year.
Could be something as simple as your 16 year old kid being able to call out the plays on offense and defense successfully because they never change year in and year out.

But this year it is different. They are peaking at the right time.
Rodgers is everything you wanted him to be. The defense is jelling and playing well.

Time will tell of course but I find myself having hope for 2025.

Again every year I say something like "this year I different".
But this year is different. Right?

Ground hog day yes. But I guess that is what makes me a fan.
Let's go Steelers!!

In the AFC we can have some winnable matchups. Buffalo can get the 3,5,6 seed if I figured it out right. If they get 3 or 6 they would be in the opposite bracket of us. The Chargers could be#5 which is a winnable matchup. Denver or NE should be#1 which are also winnable. Houston and Jax will be a tough out for whoever. If we can avoid Buffalo I think we have a shot. Hard to say about the NFC, but i don't see any teams that we should have no chance against.

It's a carbon copy of many, many seasons. They draw you in with the same exact scenario and then hit you over the head with a hammer.

It's like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown.

If they take care of buisness the next two weeks,I'll buy in a little more.

Win a playoff game. Then I'll be my normal sweaty palmed bundle of nerves for the following week.

Baby steps.

This is where I'm at. The field is weak this year in the AFC, but that includes the Steelers. They could beat anyone and also lose to anyone. But I want to see them go in at 11-6 with momentum.

Browns suck, but we're 1-5-1 in the last 7 games in Cleveland. I don't expect a cake walk.

I'm not too worried about Buffalo since they have a history of underperforming in the playoffs and often lay an egg. Something we have grown used to over the past ten plus years as Steelers fans. The Bills are just as likely to suck during any given game as they are to be dominant. The Browns made it tough for them last weekend.

Well in order to get to the Super Bowl we have to win playoff games, and as far as I know Tomlin is still the coach.
What do yinz think about that?
I'll let you know what I think about that in January. What I do know is they are still struggling to score points in the first quarter, and stop opponents scoring in the last quarter. These last three games have been won by Offense and Defence outperforming in the 3rd quarter and D has also been stopping teams in the first quarter.

Aw, hell. Everyone embrace hope. You all can handle it if it goes south. It's more fun to embrace it.

I recognize most of the names here who post from years of posting. Which means the Steelers haven't made you lose your minds yet. You won't.

Go Steelers!!!!

The Bills have crushed us the last 2x we played then. They seem to be our new kryptonite

I always have HOPE, until they don’t.

Groundhog Day can not be ignored as it is a reality, but hOPE can hold that at bay.

Hope is always possible and yet with this team it can fade in a moment, due to its past actions.

today i hold HOPE, that can change.!

Salute the nation
