They have a pretty good TE that they only throw to once a game, I guess they could get a young tall wr and throw WR screens too
 
The fans who still watch at the stadiums should be chanting fire Tomlin , Rooney step down …every game all game long until change.

I will read the board and wait however long it takes until change is made.

But watch again? Shame on me.
 
How much time and how many stars did we waste starting two has beens and a mid draft pick QB no one else wanted?

We got rid of Minkah for Jalen Ramsey…a wash at best. Got rid of Pickens for Metcalf…a net negative.

Our personnel moves are ****.

Our offensive play calling is ****.

Our amazing defense is aging out and we wasted them yet again.

Sad.
 
The Slappin' Tomlins are really tough against BAD teams like the Rats. Against quality competition, not so much.

How much draft capital has been invested in this OL? Two #1 picks and a 2nd, plus high dollar FA Seumala, who was getting TRUCKED all night long. And Jones, who was teetering on the bust bubble anyway, may not play another down in the NFL.

Still no plan, no identity, no future for this franchise. Sadly, Rooney will use making the play offs as justification to not move The Fraud out of town.

You've just witnessed the high-water mark for this franchise for the foreseeable future.
 
It’s painful watching all these teams with young athletic stars and we have the second oldest team in the league. This staff has totally failed to prepare and build a team to succeed.
 
I sure as hell don't want Aaron Rogers back next season!

Why didn't they put Porter Jr on Christian Kirk after Collins went down?

Only 1 play action pass tonight and it worked for 21 yds to Thielen.....probably should have called a few more earlier in the game! Raiders did it to the Texans 4 weeks ago and almost won that game! It was a blueprint on how to beat the Texans. I wonder if Tomlin and the coaching staff watched that game? Doubtful! I'm sure Vrabel won't make the same mistake!

He can’t X and O himself out of a paper bag. It is why the man wants to surround himself with a plethora of vets. Problem with that outlook is the vets are aging and available for a reason.
 
Their offensive line beat the **** outta our defensive line and their defensive line beat the **** outta our offensive line. They were men. We were scared little girls. And as for Tomlin, what more can be said? He should’ve been fired ages ago yet he has complete job security. It’s great being a Steelers fan right now!

I'll wait and see who the quarterback is. If they go with Will Howard and a draft pick for quarterback I'll be interested to see how they go. If they go for another QB retread on their farewell tour I'll bail completely. It will also help my interest if they go younger in the secondary, rather than bringing in (or retaining) other teams OAPs.

How about it. The game was over at the half.

Hell, Stroud gift wrapped all those turnovers and what did they get? 3 points?

The Texans were up ONE POINT and it was OVER.

I literally thought that at the half.

We were not even close to being competitive in one of these playoff games. While today’s game we were only down by a score till they took over,i doubt anyone would dispute that the Texans weren’t by far the better team.

I thought our punter was the only guy on the Steelers that did anything. Pregame I said the only way we win is if the OLine gives Aaron plenty of time. It was their worst game of the season. If Stroud wouldn’t have stunk so much it would have been a smoke show. This was a total organization loss. From Owner to GM to Players. I heard an announcer saying this was TJ Watt’s 5th playoff loss. It was also his fifth of not doing a thing. Heywards great game of last week means nothing as once again he was basically invisible in a playoff game. Highsmith as well.

Once again we go into a season wondering if we have a QB of starting caliber. It’s going to be another long,long off-season.
Mock draft after mock draft. Fire Tomlin after Fire Tomlin. Etc,etc,etc. wash,rinse,repeat.

Let’s change things up Mikey. In your season ending press conference tomorrow or Wednesday, why don’t you announce that you’re leaving and blow the ******* kisses and pound your chest as you walk out the door. Then at least this loss would have mattered.
 
This was the inevitable end to the season when they went with DK and Austin, then nobody else at WR.

Wilson either stinks or Tomlin put him in a doghouse and won't ever let him out.

Austin is ONLY a slot guy. He's too short to play outside. Steve Smith was able to be short and play outside but he played like an animal. Austin is short and weak.

The offense has 2 guys who can get open, Metcalf and Freiermuth and they refuse to throw to Freiermuth.

Jonuu Smith made sense to sign. It made sense to keep trying to get him the ball in the first half of the season. Continuing to force feed Smith past week 10, when it was obvious he has no grasp of this offense, was crazy.

The steelers passing game is like a bunch of kids who wander off at a mall and Rodgers has to go find them.

Friermuth should have led this team in targets. DK is a big play WR and should have led them in yards as he did but they just wasted so many targets for guys with no upside.


The Good News

This OL could be elite next year. We should be set at C, RG and RT. Cook is serviceable at LT but you can upgrade. Same with Seumalu at LG.

The DL could also be elite. They hit on Harmon and Black. Heyward can still play at a high level even if his reps need to be reduced.

Porter is one of the best CBs in the league.

Ramsey could be a good safety moving forward as he gets more experience there.

DK is a good WR so long as he's not the only one. Sign or draft a good WR or 2 and the offense could take off.

This year was house money, a rebuild year. They've had 2 great offseasons in a row. Another strong draft and this team could take off.

Tomlin's not going anywhere. He's still got two records to beat - most consecutive non-losing regular seasons, and go to sole ownership of the record for most consecutive playoff losses.
