AFC NFC Championship Thread

What makes me mad about Tomlin, and Im probably being unfair, is that while the Steelers were under his leadership the Cheats have been quietly rebuilding, are back in it , and have opportunity to surpass this storied franchise for the most Super Bowls won.
Rebuilding and getting back to the SB should have been our story.
But never a losing season tho.....:cool::cool:

Uh oh.
Hope this doesn’t turn into another Tomlin bashing thread. Everything that needs said has been said, over and over, and he’s gone.
I just hate seeing the Cheats having success rebuilding and getting back in the SB

At this point fans are better served with focusing in on Rooney. He was the number 1 problem..

Denver fans should feel good. Their coach didn't take some lame FG. He played to win!

They have stats for everything. I really wish they tracked the actual win loss record of these big analytics decisions.
All these analytics sports reporters have been real quiet this college and NFL playoff season and tons of national reporters are back on the "take the points" bandwagon.

True. It ain't McCarthy's fault that Deuce hired him.

It should be a good Superbowl against two pretty balanced teams.

The Seahawks are obviously better on paper, but I don't see a Vrabel/McDaniels-coached team getting routed on the biggest stage. I just don't.

They both have a lot of Superbowl experience (Vrabel as a player), and it could be a factor.

Seahawks favored by 4.5 over Pats

I'm tempted to take Seattle right now. I don't see how anybody thinks NE will win. Maye has been bad in the playoffs, only saved by each opponent having key injuries.
Maye has not been great, but the last 2 games have been terrible weather. Also they have given up less than 9 ppg in the playoffs. Say what you want but they only lost 3 games all year and one was too us where they could not hold onto the ball and we barely squeaked out a win. I don't really care who wins, but I think it will be close.

The Patriots have also faced some really good defenses in the playoffs.

Yesterday's game was basically a matter of managing the elements better than the opponent.

Even before the snow started, the wind was affecting the passing and kicking games.

Are you Canadians still on the carrier pigeon mail system or did you get the up grade telegraph version ???

Asking for Lunar………..

Salute the nation
Canada Post is on strike so much ........... I have gone back to using the "Kids Telephone Game" for responsible news reporting .....

The thing about analytics is that they're built on averages. Going for it on 4th and 1 with Bo Nix against the Bengals is a lot more likely to succeed than doing it with Jarrett Stidham vs. the Pats.

These coaches outsmart themselves sometimes.

Impressive schedule and wrong info for Week 3 as Tomlin resigned. "NFC South," "Bengals," and "Jets" is too funny.

We'll probably never know the exact circumstances of Tomlin stepping down, as that was always going to be the public face put on it no matter what.

Remember, this is the same organization that Bruce Arians and Dick Lebeau "retired' from.

It's possible Rooney told Tomlin he wasn't exercising the 2027 option, knowing Tomlin would not go into 2026 without a commitment beyond it. In that sense, it would have basically been a firing.

I thought it was interesting when Art2 was asked about the 2027 option after Tomlin resigned.

He basically dodged the question by saying he won't disclose contractual issues and had every intention of Tomlin being the coach in 2026.

Yeah I think he just didn’t want to tell an outright lie.

Usually when someone dodges a question that is the culprit.

I got the vibe from that press conference that he wasn’t going to pick up the option. It was just odd it all happened so soon.
