NFLPA ranks Steelers dead last in latest survey

I don't know how this survey is done. I can understand asking only players that have been traded to a team(then your sample size is too small)...that have maybe played for a few other teams. How else do you have a frame of reference for comparison as a player?

Players that have only played for the Steelers can only compare things like playing surface, stadium locker rooms, etc. If they are allowed to participate on all the questions how can they compare things like ownership? It's idiotic...do they answer according to what a recently traded player told them about owner X on team Y?....lol.
It's amusing too how many people think this sort of stuff affects free agency. If you pay players, they'll play wherever. Bob Kraft is another cheap owner and it hasn't negatively affected New England.

Am I hearing that Tomlin would piss on the floor of the visitors locker room to gain advantage?

Well, he didn't deflate balls.
" Urine was certainly a component of our strategy when it comes to distracting our opponent. And though they are nameless gray faces; the smile on those nameless gray faces quickly turned to a frown when their feet dipped into the Mellow Yellow....if you will....obviously... confirming the validity of our strategy.

Though we like to say there is nothing mystical about it when it comes to most things concerning our business; when it comes to golden showers, there are mystical powers...if you will.

Now knowing this tactic was successful I may move on to doody... or #2 as a necessary 'wrinkle'...as in coming out of a leather wrinkled Cheerio... if you will...as part of our strategy. I expect every man to jump on this moving Port A Potty and put their 'hand in the pile' if you will...obviously."

I wouldn't go that far, we do spend to the cap every year and attempt to win, the Pirates haven't won a playoff series since 79 or something.
The Steelers don't have a choice. Since 2010 the collective bargaining agreement has minimum spend over three year cycles set at about 90% of the cap.

Yes but they have not shied away from spending money, particularly under Omar.

Ike hit the nail on the head with the lease through 2030. Something will be in motion by then—isn’t that why they brought on David Morehouse?

The bathroom thing seems overblown. Are all these guys taking a dump at once? I got to 5,000-seat high school stadiums with two toilets and a few urinals. There’s never a line.
Basic training, we had A 50 man platoon.

3 sinks, 3 toilets , 2 urinals, and 2 showers. Yes 2 showers

So you shared the showers

Maybe the players should be graded, cry foul on a field you get blown away on I guess the other team cares less. How many wives do you think attend a game with the free tickets???? Really all players in Pittsburgh knows the reason the facility is bad been there for twenty some years lease is up in a few years. They are boxed in by river and railroad. Give Tomlin an A wonder why yet dc was d- when Tomlin ran the show. Such BS they play eight games at the stadium get dressed undress go home cry foul. Seems they are becoming the PGA cry about everything as they sure take that paycheck each week. Did you see one complaint on the paper used for that check

It's not surprising to me Tomlin got highly graded, as he's generally regarded as one of the most player-friendly coaches ever.

This survey reflects how players feel they are being treated/accommodated at work, not necessarily how well the organization is going about trying to compete for Superbowls

The troubling thing is that Art2 seems to be falling short in BOTH regards.

Of all the categories graded by the players, the fact Rooney himself got a D is pretty striking.

Even if the players thought Rooney was the cheapest ******* imaginable, you'd think they'd still give him some leeway if they liked him personally.

At the very least, he doesn't seem to have the same connection with the players that his father and grandfather had.

So, you’re saying he pissed and **** his pants……….. every playoff game for the last ten years………..

Obviously

Read something this morning from Steelernation home page that maybe Art is reluctant to spend money on the facilities because he has plans to propose a new stadium and facilities with the next decade. Makes sense! I think the current lease expires in 2030, not sure but thought I had seen that somewhere.
If that’s the case in 2030 the stadium is 30 years old and that’s about how old Three Rivers was.
Idk, just sayin’

I don’t get the surveys either.

Sure the novelties of an updated facility are nice, but they’re novelties.

Most of these guys are making a ton of $$$ to where these things should be trivial.

As long as a team has proper coaching, top notch trainers and strength & conditioning. The rest of the amenities shouldn’t factor in

They can pay for bath- houses and such. Need a contract? Talk to Watson.

PIT’s contract expires in 2030, but they have two 5 year options built into the lease with the Sports Exhibition Authority. IMO any new stadium initiative will be made by Dan Rooney after he takes over from his dad. There are challenges, huge ones. The preference to staying in the North Shore area near PNC Park and the casino, but that limits to where the new footprint would be. Now they could build on the existing location, but where are home games for 2 years? Knowing Goodell, he would have us have home games in London.

Watson said he didn’t even consider the Steelers in free agency because the massage room didn’t even exist…

Cheap a$$ Art Nutting

Another F for him after another shot season wasted in his building…his cheap ***, ****** lunch room, ****** bathroom, ****** daycare, ****** training room building

**** you Art

"Certainly both things were a component in those matchups."

Maybe it all started when he said he was going to “unleash hell”

We all thought is was going to be football play…….

They've made several players the highest paid at their position, the Pirates celebrate when they get close to .500 and almost contend for the final wildcard spot, Steeler fans are pissed at finishing .500 and losing in the playoffs.

Agreed with all of this 100%, the problem is when every other facility blows the Steelers away then that becomes an issue unfortunately.

It is a bad look when a college facility blows away a professional facility. From an image perspective it’s understandable.

From a practical perspective based off players salary. They are novelty

Especially when that college facility is attached to the pro facility. I've heard from several people on the radio saying how much nicer the Pitt Locker Room is than the Steelers.

While true, just about every P4 football facility would blow away any NFL facility.
