Watched Super Bowl XIV with my grandson and a few things come to mind:
1. Amazing that they didn't have the score and all the details pasted on the screen the entire game; if you weren't keeping track you wouldn't know the score.
2. Bradshaw was the MVP but you could have made a case for Stallworth and his two amazing catches or Larry Anderson, who had 162 yards on 5 kickoff returns.
3. Wendel Tyler was amazing but must have left the game 5 times for injuries.
4. Heaven Can Wait came out in 1978 and had the Rams beating the Steelers in the Super Bowl

I loved Heaven Can Wait, but remember as a kid I was furious my mighty Steelers were beaten in the big game 🤣. Just watched the movie again few months ago, still a good one.

Bradshaw picked off 3(?) times and still won MVP. Also, Jack Lambert with a huge interception of Joe Ferguson deep middle of the field. Lambert was an amazing player.

You are correct. Recalling from memory alone but suffering old man brain

I went to the game, have great memories of all the Steelers you guys have mentioned but also remember the Rose Bowl. What a beautiful setting with the San Gabriel Mountains in the background, the weather, sunset, etc. Got a chance to watch Oregon vs UCLA years afterwards during a day game, just beautiful.

The only drawback for the Super Bowl were the metal bleachers at that time but we were young and didn’t sit allot anyway.

Agreed on Rose Bowl. Great visuals, bad seats and have to park on the golf course, Brookside, next to the stadium since it has basically zero parking. Son and I played on that course. Not when the cars were parked.

That all beats having to witness a blimp crashing into the stadium for SB X at the Orange Bowl and killing all those people. Oh, the humanity!

Oh, that was just a movie?!?

To see our franchise in the SB, we have to elect to watch one that is 4.5 decades old. Given our talent, leadership, and decision-making, that sounds about right.

Noll had tremendous balls going for the onside kick in the 1Q after the FG..... That remains the earliest attempted OSK in Super Bowl history...
