Iran

Tibs at least had the good sense to leave when he was consistently losing.
We are witnessing the Dunning-Krueger Effect in real time.

Good one. Had to look that up to remember what it was.

I know his type. Being wrong has no effect on him whatsoever, he just moves on to the next topic he could BS his way through.

Saw this response on FB this morning and it mostly fits this thread.

They’re happy in almost every country that is not Islamic.
Whom do they blame? Not Islam. Not their leadership. Not themselves.
They blame the countries they are happy in.
They want to change the countries they’re happy in, to be like the countries they came from where they were unhappy.
There is also the old Bedouin Arab proverb "I against my brother. I and my brother against my cousin. I, my brother, and my cousin against the world."

Also the Bible said in Genesis 16:12 that Ishmael would be a wild man: "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

QBR.
I frequent Ford Ranger boards and FB groups. When I explain how to disconnect the very inconvenient electric tailgate lock I get carpet bombed with dudes telling me my tailgate will get stolen. I'm like, "My man, where I live the wildlife is a much bigger hazard than tweakers. Dang truck was two weeks old when I hit a wild turkey and had to take it to the paintless dent repair guy to fix the hood.
Off topic, I had '90 S-10 with 4.3 L and 5 speed. it was a great little truck but 35 years later you don't see many of them on the road around here nor many Rangers from that era. But you see tons of full size GM trucks from that era and a lot of Fords too. Maybe people just got older and wanted bigger trucks IDK. The mid-90s Dodges were hyped up when they came out but seems I see way more GMs with the 5.7 350 still going.

I'd call that a cancer and one ideology that I'd like to see dissappear from the face of the planet, right along with Communism in all of it's forms.

Yes they were. Oct 7.
Israel, the size of New Jersey is the only country in the Middle East that must maintain high level of alert 24/7, 365 for an attack.
If those terrorists you support lay down their arms there would be peace in the Middle East.
If Israel laid down their arms they would be wiped out.
So you want war with Iran because 29 months ago Hamas attacked a music festival? Destroying Gaza wasn't enough for you?

To me the real question has always been if a government is determined to go to war in a conflict the people will not otherwise support, then are Pearl Harbors, 911's and Oct 7s acceptable broken eggshells to make their omelettes? Or to use the language of Project For A New American Century the neocon Bill Kristol think tank of the late 90s, those certain "catalyzing events" that galvanize public opinion for war and mobilization that otherwise might take decades to shift public opinion.

I just have a hard time believing that Oct 7 just found everyone asleep at the switch any more than 911 here.

There you go off on another tangent.
Like I always do, I was simply shooting down your ridiculous claim that Israel wasn’t attacked.

Been driving Rangers and Sport Tracs since 1999. A full-size truck won't fit in my garage.

Has to be the free money. I can't think of another reason why people from the middle east and Africa would want to live in a place where the temp is -35* in the winter with 10 feet of snow.

Yea. I've read through this thread. To summarize....turkey ain't just for Thanksgiving.

They are happy in Thailand too.
Back in the 80’s I worked in Saudi Arabia for 15 months…King Fahd Hospital outside the city of Medina.

On vacation and on my way to South Korea to meet up with my wife, I had a stopover in Bangkok Thailand.
That city was one big ***** house. From the airport in the pocket of the back seat of the taxi was an album filled with info on all the different ***** houses and sex show venues available for your vacation experience.

The number of Muslim men I saw there at the airport still in their traditional garb, was astounding.

So coming from a country where marriage is arranged, where casual contact between a man and a woman is prohibited, where dating is prohibited , has separate seating areas for men, women, and families in public places such as restaurants… my first thought was what a bunch of hypocrites.

These same Muslims will go back home and pray 5 times a day.

Being young and ignorant I experienced an extreme culture shock when I arrived in Saudi Arabia.
I really needed to read a “Do’s and Don’t do in Saudi Arabia” booklet prior to going.

Gosh I could spend the next 4 hours telling yinz my many experiences there.

Lebanon used to be the Las Vegas of the Arab world. It was known to be the place where rich moslems went and had hookers, got drunk, etc. I heard a Middle East expert say (at a talk I went to in College) that the talk was that he Arab world fundamentalists were in favor of it being destroyed as it was.

I thought that was interesting.

He's an angry old Liberal. They are the worst and dumbest.
He isn't a liberal, he's a leftist and there is a difference.
He's a reprehensible jackass that can't appreciate that he lives in the greatest country in the history of this planet.
Does absolutely nothing to give back to this nation, or Steeler Nation for that matter, but expects this nation to bow to his every whim.
Takes for granted the sacrifices that have been made in the past by ordinary citizens so he can continue to spew his detestable rhetoric, never with a solution, never with dialog, just a constant belittling of what he doesn't agree with. A liberal will share ideas, at least they did at one time, and discuss issues based on their point of view. Leftists, including Trog, would rather have their fingernails pulled out before conceding that they just might be wrong about anything and see themselves as experts on everything.

Fork'em.

OK, here's what you do, move the full-sized truck front bumper snug against the back wall in the garage.
Make note on where you need to remove the drywall and possibly half the width of the studs in the wall.
After a careful surgical procedure, the full-sized truck will clear the garage door. You're welcome!
