And inventing new weightlifting exercises. He was always shooting hoops too.
You commies are redassed that that you didn’t didn’t get to launder that money.
Reading this article, it’s mostly a lot of nothing. Departments get a budget. If you don’t spend the money, your budget is much smaller the next year. September is usually nuts in that regard.
I never had that meal, and it's sounds like I didn't miss out. However, I really never had a bad meal in the Air Force chow hall. In fact, at Keesler AFB I used to get their half chicken with parsley potatoes and broccoli almost every day for the 4 months I was there, and I still miss it. Damn was that a great meal.Gotta be honest here. As a combat veteran, I’ve eaten the steak and lobster meal more times than I can count. I think the government should save the money. Reason being, steak and lobster is great and all until the military cooks get ahold of it. They aren’t allowed to cook it medium rare. It has to be well done. Period. And often it is boiled before it is thrown on the grill for grill marks. Tough as shoe leather and no flavor. The lobster is usually the most pathetic little lobster tails that retailers don’t care to bring to market. It’s really not great or even good or ok. It’s sad really. Strangely, the same ******* ruining steaks make some pretty good ribs. Not great, but passable for sure.
I’d still rather my tax dollars went to that instead of giving it to illegal immigrants.Gotta be honest here. As a combat veteran, I’ve eaten the steak and lobster meal more times than I can count. This is an example of government budgeting that has gone on for ages. I think I relayed a story of when I was the director of pharmacy at a Pennsylvania state hospital back in the early 80's. I came in under budget for the year and was told by the hospital administrator that I had to spend the money. I was thinking that I did a good job, who knew.Reading this article, it’s mostly a lot of nothing. Departments get a budget. If you don’t spend the money, your budget is much smaller the next year. The iPads and iPhones is not unusual. Departments are often upgrading their electronics. For example, we get new phones and laptops every other year because technology moves so fast. With regard to the phones, we are behind. We just “upgraded” to iPhone 15’s last year. Until then, we had 12’s. Our laptops are Dell, and certain commodities use iPads for troubleshooting software.
Can’t really get behind the grand piano which is really kind of dumb.
I would have set up an LLC consulting firm and paid it fees until the budget was exceeded by 2%.This is an example of government budgeting that has gone on for ages. Packed up for AZ the next year.
