Cam Extended

Ohhh didn't know Cam was such a trend setter.. the very first NFL player to try to re-negotiate or ask for an extension while under contract.

So when the team captain defends the team against some negative comments he's the bad guy LOL.

And of course PFF is a crap site because it doesn't help your argument. But please grace us with your vast knowledge since you watched all the IDL across the league to come up with your views. Don't forget to grab your pink woobie junior.

How many try to renegotiate THE YEAR after they just puledl the renegotiation early tactic?

Please hit me with that list of players, lmfao
Doesn’t happen cuz it’s an absolute douche move

And then to time it right after you collected the roster bonus from the contract you just renegotiated LAST SEASON…yeah it would be a trend if other players adopted that douchebaggery, but alas…can’t think of ANY other players that followed the “trendsetter”

Maybe there was a douche that tried that before, I’ve never heard of it, certainly not common.

Scam is all about scam

Check the conduct detrimental to the team scam was spewing on his podcast.
Captain in name only or an absolute **** leader/captain.

And take a poll and see how many of the very astute fans here actually recognize PFF as legit.
The blow….and anyone using PFF to try to prove a point has no point worth proving. Garbage in garbage out.

How old is Cam now? 45? What's sad is that it seems like yesterday when his dad was drafted.

****, I sleep walk all the time………… sometimes I even kick my legs and yelp……..

One time one of my G-strings snapped and got tangled up in my legs. That caused me to take a major fall………… and get entangled in gutter debris…….

I’m lucky it didn’t happen near the Kentuckian’s house……….. I’d been considered warm road kill….. a delicacy…. And a warm date……..

Salute the nation
So you suffer from Sexsomnia .....

His over all stats last year were pretty good, but let's not forget that he does some real dumb **** on the field too, like the ***** move to try and fight Josh Allen after he got "knee'd in the stomach", the same Cam that punched Herbert and claimed he was pushed into him from behind...he'll turn it on from time to time and play lights out, but he can also be a little *****

I don't like his behavior of late. I would have cut him. I'm not a general manager though.

Definitely

He’s a solid player for sure, when on the field and not pulling the dumb cheap shots

Off the field, not the type of guy that is a solid leader or good captain

Captain Cam has led his Steelers into an early offseason every single year.
His poor kids ain't never going to Disney World

Wow. Another contract for fossil Heyward. This has got to be one of the dumbest and most out-of-touch organizations. Can someone remind me how many deep playoff runs this whiner has contributed to? In keeping with the theme of us supporting our senior citizens, maybe we can bring The Bus back for one more hoorah.

Go away troll. Every single post by you is some negative troll ****.

hope Cam doesnt come to camp looking like a piano on its side ... again.

Trade Cam to the Browns for three #1's already Omar!!!!!

my top 5 DT to draft replace him next year
- Caleb Banks huge Dt that size-wise and athletic, will draw comparison to a younger Cam, and Tuitt both will be guys like Harmon that can occupy 2 OL and be both stout vs the run and have some pass rush ability as well, however, he is preatty much a late rnd 1 lock so ir depends if they are going LT or Dt or even WR
- Kayden McDonald- , Massive both. Again, another 320 Huge DT who is thick but will be someone that can pass rush effectively like Harmon and back in the day, how Heyward and Tuitt did as a combo from the A gap. Perfect guy, but would require a trade down and start soon.
- Darrell Jackson JR FSU, massive NT, perhaps a tad bigger than Benton and slightly less than Yaha Black, good Sr Bowl, should easily step in as say the 5 DT rotation, given you have
1 Heyward 2 Benton 3 Day 4 Black, ahead, the guy they resigned to a 1-year deal. I think he just takes Loudermilk's spot
- Tim Keenan III, another big body that should instantly help the interior, and along with Benton and black give Cam perhaps 10 extra plays off.
- Rayshaun Benny Stout, but I prefer more hefty interior DT, and with Centers getting bigger, he in the 4th or 5th could develop into a decent rotational DT.

Someone like Jackson JR Keanan, and in the nickel, you can kick Benton out to DE, and you'll have a diverse 4-2-5 of
DE Highsmith
DT Heyward
DT Harmon
DE Benton
LB Watt
LB Queen
CB Nicholls
CB Porter
CB Dean
S Elliot
S Dugger

Highsmith a DE? Really? We have played that game of Watt and Highsmith being DEs in our subpackages for years now. It hasn't worked out that well ......especially against the better teams.

Going to be hard to roll out Dugger at Safety as he is no longer a Steeler.

Dude has missed 12 games in the last 9 years and still gives the opposing o-line fits… is a true leader.

It's his off the field mouth and lack of true leadership skills that people are tired of...the whole Porter on Ben thing, any time someone would question Tomlin he'd pipe in with the company line.

Like when Najee critiqued the practices, Cam came at him hard, in the press, then on his podcast...

In my opinion, Cameron should’ve been traded to a contender. It would’ve been a service to both the club and him. In this instance, we are assuming the goal is to win or build and improve the roster. Harris missed zero games in four years. On two instances, he made lukewarm comments to the media regarding preparation, game-day performance and coaching. By your logic, his fifth year option should’ve been exercised. Najee was twenty five or twenty six when that would’ve been decided. Heyward model two-point-one is thirty six and moonlights as a podcaster. That’s churning the pot on a weekly basis. Hopefully, his play doesn’t fall off for the extension’s sake. What’s the purpose of this? I’m illustrating a sort of hypocrisy concerning how decisions are weighed and executed on the North Shore.

I have a sneaky suspicion regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the building, being favored or liked by ownership and decision makers is of significant weight when it comes to financial success. This goes beyond player contracts. There are two to three possibilities at play; either winning has taken a back seat in Rooney-land or there’s a whole lot of incompetence floating around. The third possibility is a combination of the first two.

It’s incompetence to the highest degree. Look at numb nuts Tomlin. Damn near 2 decades with the team and the guy was a complete moron. We like to pretend that our GM is some crafty, sly deal maker with an eye for talent, but aside from the fanatics, he’s largely viewed as someone who was promoted well beyond his means. Our new senior citizen head coach looks more aligned with someone who just finished a cupcake eating contest than someone who’s going to lead us to a championship. How about Grandad Rodgers? His career should have ended when he left Green Bay, but here we are *fingers crossed* that papaw wants to come back well beyond his expiration to lead us to another season of mediocrity. And this all leads us to our King of Crap, also known as our clueless, cheapskate owner. The dude is a complete albatross to this franchise. To ignore this is to deny reality. For those that prefer to live in la la land and pretend that we’re lucky to have what we do, hope you enjoy another season of draft busts, overpaid free agents, incompetent coordinators, a statue for a QB, and another head coach who will fail to move the needle.

Well, no ****. That's how life works. They are not going to reward people they don't like. This is nothing new and is never going to change for any team or company.

You said “Numb Nuts”

Cronyism, favoritism and nepotism are issues in a majority of corporate hierarchies. The best ones weigh those scales and try to tip them towards merit; that can be judged on intellect or past work or potential.

An instance or two doesn’t make you a dirty player. It has more to do with severity or being a repeat offender. Cameron isn’t there yet and he’d have to work actively to get there. In hockey, think Marchand or Wilson. They spent half their careers over that line. That being said, supposedly, Wilson is making an active effort to clean up his game. I’ve lost track of Marchand and am quite ok with that. After a point, it’s pretty cut and dry.

And Cam is beloved by Beta Rooney as he brought the only trophy to the franchise in many years

That WPMOY sure looks shiny in that case

You said reward players they like not cronyism or nepotism. You like good players, you don't like bad players or players who have bad attitudes. It is that simple. Why would you ever reward someone you don't like.

No, I said some corporations have issues with cronyism, favoritism and nepotism. Ex. Take an nfl franchise, these biases could extend to player contracts but, it’s more likely to be seen in coaching, support or management roles.

Response: It’s not that simple, Antonio Brown was extremely effective but his effectiveness didn’t offset his locker room issues or off the field antics. It’s all risk v. return.

And when he no longer was liked enough for his performance and attitude, he was traded. Makes my point clearly.

AB was a cancer......it has taken years to cut it all out. A team culture is real. We went from a great team culture to a horrible one. And Tomlin let that cancer grow and spread unfortunately. And it was known before he signed his second contract while ripping up years left on his rookie contract.
