It was passed by voice vote. It’s not going to Trump, this is just the senate’s bill that they sent to the House. The House bill full funds DHS and the SAVE act.

He’s just pissed at the weak senate republicans that bent over for democrats because they wanted to go home.

Surely regardless of method of vote, whether its voice, show of hands, secret ballot or by doing cartwheels across the Senate, there needs to be a quorum present for a vote to be valid.

Covid changed a lot of things. Like you would think the entire country would understand the dangers in allowing everyone to vote by mail. But here we are. Be nice if they changed it back. Or-hear me out-declare Election Day a federal holiday and make everyone vote then instead of mail in voting and 14 weeks of early voting.
 
It's weird how the two opposing parties seemed to collude. Like they were aligned or even in the same team.

It’s weird that every time democrats are the congressional minority they manage to accomplish more than the majority republicans. And it’s usually accomplished by republicans acting indignant and opposed to democrat demands for a couple weeks then suddenly bending over and giving in and telling us how it truly is good for the country.

Sure, there are a few republicans that are truly in opposition to the democrats’ platform (enormous minority that they are), but the establishment is the establishment, truly two wings of the same bird.

I thought we were talking about the Senate passing legislation with only 5 senators present, not elections.

In honesty, I didn’t even know voice voting was a thing for passing legislation. And even if it’s not, no one should be surprised because this how our legislative body does business. Shady deals in the middle of the night with only five members present sounds par for the course if you ask me.
 
We're they under threat? Were they bribed? Probably both sprinkled together.

I'd like to send them home permanently!And that permanent pension?Gone. Healthcare you get whatever the bulk of Americans get.

Plenty are awake. Just not enough to do what needs to be done. Which would take sacrifices nobody is willing to do.


As of 2026 we have 20 states signed on for a constitutional convention. They need 14 more.

The two biggest issues most agree need to be done,are a balanced budget ammendment and term limits.

The balanced budget ammendment has at least 28 states who are on-board with that.
 
Term limits? Never
Stop insiders stock trades? Never. A senate committee took up a vote and voted no. Surprise!
Balanced budget. Never. They like to fight about it and point fingers.

Social security. Never. They will fight about it and blame the other side. Nobody will touch that hot potato. And it will be cut by 25% automatically....because Nobody will take action.

Tax dollars.....at the laundry mat.

You need 34 states to call for a constitutional convention. Congress has no say and they have no vote. Each state picks their delegate. One vote. So California doesn't have any more say than Douth Dakota.

The democrats are vastly outnumbered when it comes down to individual states that are conservative.


Most people still can't grasp the concept. Which is why it's been stagnant for years,plus scare tactics from both sides because they're scared to death of it.


What will happen is nothing will be done until it's too late and we end up in some under leftist authoritarian rule and have to fight our way out,or we collapse and everyone up fighting each other.

Then we still end up in authoritarian rule.
