Pens 25-26 thread

Dude kicks at Rusty twice with his blade and only gets one minor. I hope they fine his flyer off.
 
The flyers won the fighting. This is their ice now.

Bummed. They are just a better team.
 
They're doing their best Steeler impression. Do well in the regular season and then get smashed in the playoffs.
 
I'm calling it now - This is the end of Malkin and Letang. Sid is gone if that injury is bad enough. Enjoy these last two games with them. It's over.

Malkin still has some game left,Letang was done 2 years ago.

It's hard to say with Sid. We will see how the offseason goes.
 
Letang needs to go. Malkin is still a serviceable bottom 6 forward. As I think Sid would be too.


The boys in Scranton are calder cup favorites this season. The rebuild and youth movement looks promising if there is solace in this ugly series.
 
I am surprised the vets on this team let the Cryers get under their skin.

Rust single handedly gave them the momentum.

I can see younger players getting sucked in but Letang Malkin and Rust know better.

They gave us a great season but this debacle basically nullifies that.

Rust needs to go. Chicken **** was scared to drop the gloves and handle his business.


Malkin and Crosby have carried this team since the downward spiral going back to 2019.

Understandable to be frustrated but also apathetic.

It was still a fun season, but if this series has shown. It’s time to get younger and Dubas and Muse will see that through

Whatever they have to do to be able to deal with this stuff in the playoffs needs to get done.

I really thought this team with the way they could roll 4 lines and score in bunches might make a run in the playoffs

Really disappointing.

I kinda dreaded this matchup for the fact Tocchet knows the core 3 guys too well.

He knew which buttons to push and it worked. Tocchet knows how to control egos. He would reel Kessel back in easily.

Philly plays a boring yet effective defensive hockey system which nullifies what the Pens were doing all season.

If the Pens were matched up against anybody else in the bracket. They would look like what we saw all season.
 
Shame on me for thinking these guys were built for playoff hockey… they obviously are not..

The only way I could sum it up is, I was very fortunate that I’ve witnessed the heyday of Pittsburgh professional sports ...

I'm gonna go sit in the hot tub look up into the beautiful night sky and reminisce

NFL draft in Pittsburgh tomorrow night !
I hope we don’t screw that up too!
