Steelers place the right of first refusal tender on AA Ron.

Totally agree. In fact, I'm thinking @Gildong Sack should change his username to @HangingfromRodgers'Sac.

It's not just you. You damn sure won't have to convince @Coryea to join you in choosing Ben over Rodgers.:love:
Rodgers was a great QB. No argument there. Arguing for the Rodgers we have now and as the GOAT is laughable.

Bringing AR12 back would help everyone understand McCarthys concept. Yeah, he’s not the coordinator but we all know McCarthy will have major input. Now they can develop without Rodgers, but if you can bring in a guy that can help the WRs, TEs and the QBs understand it. Do it. To me, this is a transitional year anyways.
I can't stand the guy but one thing AR was still a master at was catching the other teams offsides, having too many men on the field, etc. If he can help pass that down to the young QBs, it would be a plus.

You're right, but add that there are a lot of things the Aaa-Ron can teach the young-iNs.

He will teach, but not in a backup role.

I don’t think he would take being benched lightly, even for obvious bad play.

I still think he plays here as the Steelers will sign him.

I don’t want him and want to see the current room take over.

Agreed. No idea if he provided insight to Mason or Howard last year or not.

I thought I’d read that Howard was very complimentary towards Aaa-Ron’s mentorship / season.

And in the end he won "one" SB and that almost didn't happen. Seriously.. isn't that the end goal...to win SBs? He did it....Just once though. While being on teams(stacked) and meant to win SB's.. he kind of under preformed historically in the that area one could easily say. No?

Really though. Your definition of someone being the GOAT is drastically different than mine. To each there own. Just hard to swallow reading your posts referring him as the GOAT here on a Steeler message board. Leaves a bad taste in ones mouth. Dude played one average to below average season as a qb here in Pittsburgh. Just laughable to me. That's my opinion though. I guess I will do me and you do you.
I hear you. I'll try to avoid that from now on and just call him Rodgers.

I look at the athlete..to me Bo Jackson is the greatest running back I've ever seen run the football. To me he is the G..t running back. Don't care about his short career or Super Bowls. The only possible competitor to that crown for me is Sanders. Now, I didn't get to watch Jim Brown live or any of the older guys, but I grew up watching Payton, OJ, Franco,Dorsett, Csonka, Barry Sanders, etc.

Emmitt Smith has how many rings? I wouldn't call anyone the best because of SB rings, I don't even consider Smith top 10. Everyone knows about that Dallas O line.

Aaron Rodgers is probably the greatest pure passer the NFL has ever seen. Hard to think of someone better.

Perhaps. I do know Pittman is outside and slot capable . So even if Pittman is outside I am sure he will get some inside looks as well. As magic Mike has been preaching versatility…

Just think of the possibilities if this leadership group moved players around and the other team didn’t know where players would even be lining up along with not knowing the play that would be called…just imagine what could happen?!?!?!?

This could be simply magical to watch…
Finally a game of chess being played when we’ve been watching checkers for years…it may not even have been checkers, it may have been tic-tac-toe.

Thing is, actual game reps would teach Allar or Howard so much more than learning the art of catching a team offsides 3-4 times a year from the dinosaur.

Just watch film, have some field awareness and most importantly a center that is ready for the quick snap can get that done…they can watch the dinosaur’s past plays that were successful and learn as much as they are going to in that aspect.

Rodgers is just another year of delays to the the inevitable and as GHD as bringing back Tomlin would have been.

Other teams preferred to call it tic tac - we know

An interesting game in which the opponent knows what you are doing and what you want to do but you do it anyways.

How dare you.... And get your hands of my Rodgers'Sac!
Topseed is the bloke who got me on the Rodgers'Sac Peepuul!

That was a complete waste of 69 seconds of my life, but at least you're being a good sport about it (I think). (y)

His arm was shot. He even seems to admit that now.
Ben after elbow surgery 55 TD's 7,500 yards in two seasons. The year after elbow surgery, he had 3 WR's put up better numbers than DK Metcalf did, and none of them were paid as the #4 WR in the NFL. JuJu 97 catches, Dionte 88 catches, Chase(rookie)67 catches, a rookie who hasn't done a damn thing in the NFL since, had a better year than DK Metcalf did with Rodgers. The following season Dionte was a 107 catch almost 1200 yard WR, Dionte F'n Johnson. This was the Oline Dan Moore (rookie), Dotson(2nd year) Kendrick Green(rookie), Trai Turner, Okafor. I don't think I need to mention who is OC's were.

I think you guys are all missing point, as usual when anyone brings up Ben, no one is saying we should've kept him around longer than we did, we're saying they forced him to retire, a franchise all-time great, same as Troy, Hines, etc. but here we are allowing a 42 year old guy that hasn't done a damn thing here, and was sh!t vs playoff teams last year, string us along all while giving him better weapons and giving him a better Oline.
