Man oh.....man. Believe me when I say I try to read them. The articles on the home page are simply a brutal read. No substance.....no facts....just bullshit. I or anyone on here can and could write these articles. Template.....write a gotcha headline. Then write subjective substances that can be argued either way. The Joey Porter Jr one got me good.

How about here on this site we write factual articles? No? Are we just a click bait site like everywhere else? Yeah. I know that answer already. Takes 5 minutes to get to the meat of the article and the meat is simply BULLSHIT like every other article out there. I used to come here for my NFL news. Now I when I come here I have to slug through the **** just like every other site. Hopefully we our getting our coin. I guess that is all that matters anymore. It is what it is I guess.

Its just filler. Just like many podcasts. Takes up space. No substance. In texas they say " all hat, no cattle ".

It is, what it is. It's a style of Journalistic writing employed by many media sites. Skip the first two paragraphs of fluff, read the middle two paragraphs of actual content, skip the last paragraph summary.

Well it does say “rumors” in the link to SN.

But there should be a heavy emphasis on “rumors”, like right after the word “more”.

Reporting has sure changed from the “old days” of verifying facts before print.

There is also the nature of timing, it’s that off season time of year that there just isn’t very much news to be had.

ADD in that players / coaches / FO personnel are not going to exasperate on any given topic due to liability issues and money.

TJ is never going to tell you that he hasn’t developed inside rush moves because coach “easy-pants” never required any such activity. He’s also not going to tell you that when he signed his massive contract that he assumed it was going to be under coach easy-pants the entire duration.

FO isn’t going to say anything other than what they are told to say. The con didn’t build up of Howard, with no criticisms seems something might be hidden.

McCarthey seems a little more explanatory then preoccupied coach, but he still isn’t going to tell the in-depth truth.

Reporters have to fill i the depth and quantity of words (fodder) to make the article complete. They also have to hope it gets printed so as to make any money. They are not going to spend as much time on a non -guaranteed payday, thus lowering the quality of the article.

I with and hear yaz stillwright, just don’t know where to point for the exact problem of the low quality output in the reporting world.

STEELERNATION.COM does have some very good articles, news, output articles, sometime we just need to decipher out the good to the better ones.

Its no different than talking to a drunk at the bar during off-season.
