Those young, indoctrinated socialists believe they are doing the exact same thing. They are voting for candidates that they believe will benefit them and their family. They’re wrong of course, but they still believe it.My vote goes to those that benefit me and my family, first and foremost. While that may seem selfish, I've found, in my opinion, those candidates are also best for the country overall.
Then I blame our education system, because history tells a different story. Those young, indoctrinated socialists believe they are doing the exact same thing. They are voting for candidates that they believe will benefit them and their family. They’re wrong of course, but they still believe it.
They aren’t being taught history. Not true history anyway. They are being taught history through the lens of oppressor and oppressed. It’s why socialism is so popular. They sincerely believe they are oppressed by capitalism. They see socialism as the great equalizer, never realizing the rich will still be rich, and the poor will still be poor. The only real difference is there will be new and exciting bread lines at the government run grocery stores. Then I blame our education system, because history tells a different story.
