Whether a Republican, Democrat, or Independent, we should all want the same thing: the truth, accountability where wrongdoing is proven, and a commitment to follow the evidence wherever it leads. This holds true on every single post in the P&R forum.
The decision by these major networks to not broadcast the Presidential address is chilling in this respect, they are telling us that we are not smart enough to think for ourselves and make our own conclusions as to what we see and hear. They want us to rely on them to tell us what we should or should not believe. You can't hate them enough comes to mind.

I suppose you could argue that you could watch it on another network if you really wanted to see it, but I know quite a few people that don't have cable, satellite TV or a streaming service and still rely on a roof top antennae and local alphabet affiliates as their source of information.
