Training camp at St. Vincent’s starts next Tuesday July 28th and I’m jacked over this camp.
The key word this year is CHANGE. New HC and new staff that should bring with it plenty of new wrinkles.
I’m interested particularly seeing what Patrick Graham brings to this stagnant defense. This should be cool to watch and see how different he runs this unit as opposed to the stale Tomlin crap we witnessed.
Then for me the new OL Coach Tom Campen will be interesting to watch and see how he works with this young OL.
What will you be concentrating on?

Yeah I read that story prior to coming back here to our site and was pleased to see this.
Family is important and his parents aren’t getting any younger so I’m happy he decided to do this.
The last thing he needs are regrets if he hadn’t made amends with mom and dad before they eventually pass on. I would imagine his patents
are in their mid to late 60’s so better to do it now.
Good for you Aaron! Maybe Western Pa is having some positive influence on him.

My mom and her brother were in a bitter battle for over 15yrs. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer and came to my nursing home, my uncle and his wife came in every week like clock work and they made up. Who knows what happened between rodgers and his family, but it is good to see they seem to be on the right track

Howard and Allar to see what our future might start to look like. I hope both do well so they remain on the roster, and then they can make a decision on what to do with Rudolph. Where the Steelers are, I'm good having AR and the two young guys right behind him for the season.

I think for me it will be battles for roster spots and starts. Schematics too but not sure how much of that we will get to see that is open to the public.

Ditto X and Os I presume preseason will be pretty vanilla. I think come regular season I will glue into that moreso….

I think if Howard shows anything at all Mason will be the odd man out. If Howard looks terrible I don't think he will get a chance to work it out with us. I don't see any scenario where Allar doesn't make it this year

I do as well. If Howard has to step in, we'll get chance to see the overall talent of the roster. Basically, do the Steelers have a strong enough supporting cast that a young QB can step in and succeed right away?

This narrative of Howard possibly being something special has gotten entirely too much traction. He will be lucky to be a backup in the NFL
Based on your analysis of what exactly. Cause Allar is a 3rd rounder. Notre Dame swallowed Penn State that year. Howard Destroyed Notre Dame in the final.

Unfortunately, Rudolf was dealt a suspect hand. Tomlin had no ability to develope a QB. He experienced the helmet swinger incident, then got knocked the **** out by the Baltimore safety (head shot & no flag). He just never really got the early chance to thrive.

The main reason Rudy has remained so long has been the Tomlin unable to aquire anyone better who could play the role / humiliation required by the Tomlin led QB room.

We now have a QB Guru who has two young QBs and can evaluate / develop properly. If the Rudy remains I hope it is because of merit and NOT because the Rooney wants a vet back-up.

If the Howard doesn’t have the mustard to beat out Rudy, so be it and I’d rather not waste another year on the Howard.

Obviously, if the Howard wins out….. Then we advance further in the developement of QBs and getting away from geriatrics.

Salute the nation

All I know is Ive seen enough of Rudy, Tomlin or not. Yes he might be the best option at two. I will not argue that. But the reality is until this team has its next dude at Q its a Wildcard win at best. So behind a successful season the next most important thing us figuring out if they have a dude at the most important position or they have to keep looking.

If he can't make the 53 I can't imagine some team swooping him up. I think enough people.around the league respect McCarthy ability to judge a QBs footwork, mechanics, and processing time. He could safely go to the practice squad and they keep Rudy and Allar. Allar is a lock
