Which was the bigger blunder? 1) Letting Unitas slip through their fingers. 2) Trading Len Dawson. Or 3) Not drafting Marino.

Just bored waiting for the season to start...

Realistically, we have no idea if any of them would have had the same achievements had they stayed with/been drafted by the Steelers, especially Dawson and Unitas given the Steelers were to the pre-1970s NFL as the Browns are to the 21st century NFL.

To me Dawson. And unitas would have changed the course of our history to not include Bradshaw. Greene, and 1974

Marina. Don't think that there is much debate there.
Agreed. I love a good Marina, especially in the early morning hours when the low fog lays upon the surface of the water. A cool breeze from the Northwest whispers into your ears that today is going to be a good day of fishing. The smell of the water mixed with a slight fishy odor hits your very soul as if you entered a familiar and peaceful place that you've know all of your life. I'd choose a marina 10/10 times over a Dawson or a Unitas!

Same. I wouldn't choose spellcheck, though. That guy sucks!

I have to text a lot, I run machinery and can’t shut down to make phone calls.

I do both thumb type and voice text, I never proof read as I like some of the auto corrects or miss interpreted voice that it creates a huge laugh.

NOTE: These are all on personal friends / general people, and not in a professional setting (although one time I sent text to a lady intending to look at her water heater “I’ll be out shortly to look at your thing = was replace with thong”. She brought it to my attention hence my arrival……….. we both laughed because she asked if I had a preferred color…….)

I live FREE and for these kind of reasons.!!!

I surprised that it's unanimous. I think there's some recency bias. Unitas is an all-time great and was ON the team.

True, but he might have made us good enough that we didn't get Terry B.

I once send a flirty text to my buddy's wife accidently. She was actually darn good looking. Her husband was in Africa on a missions trip, and my stupid butt meant to send it to Mrs. Fan, but somehow screwed up. When I realized it, about two hours later, I was panicked and called Mrs. Fan, telling her to call my buddy's wife and explain that I got stupid. They laughed at me all night.

It was the running joke for a while.

So the Marina smells like the trailer park gals.

Marino for sure. Marino would have inherited a defense and offense that was still solid. Remember, in 1984, we were in the AFC Championship game against the Dolphins with Marino while we had Mark Malone. If we exchanged QBs who do you think would have gone to Super Bowl XIX against the 49ers. We may not have beaten them in the Super Bowl but I think it would have at least been closer.

That odor is more prevalent right after a Coolie visit……………….

Weren’t we the only team to beat them (49ers) that year ???

EDIT: Sorry I hadn’t read your very next post yet……………… (ExUSAF thanks for all your great post(s) along the way)

Smells like trailer park girls......isn't that a famous tune by a 90's band?

If you look in the magazine Vogue, Kim Kardashion has a scratch - N - sniff free sample………

(A friend told me)

Letting Dri Archer go was our biggest mistake.

Kidding aside Dan Marino hands down.
What made not drafting Marino worse is that we drafted Senor Sack who got behind the wheel intoxicated and became paralyzed after a horrific accident.
Drafting Marino would have most likely saved Senor Sacks career and more importantly his life beyond football.

The biggest mystery with this team is how could the 70’s Steelers not have had at least one undefeated season.
Probably coaching.
