I have no problem with gay marriage. My only stipulation, and this is a deal breaker, no church should be forced to perform or endorse gay marriage.

Many of now dont have a problem with it.
The point being made is that the opposition to it is now viewed as hate or right wing extremism, when it had forever been the norm on both sides.

Those still opposed to it still have the right to be without being labeled an extremist. There’s nothing extreme about it.

I can remember a time when the gay marriage debate was at its peak, and 99% of us were opposed to it,
So have we now bowed down to the progressives and have ourselves progressed?

Maybe someday we will have progressed to be OK with men playing in women’s sports and a trannies right to use the little girls room!

No, churches in the United States are not forced to perform same-sex marriages. There is a clear that religious organizations and clergy retain the absolute right to decline any marriage ceremony that goes against their beliefs.
First Amendment: The U.S. Constitution protects the free exercise of religion, meaning the government cannot force a house of worship to perform religious rites.

I don't care if 2 guys or girls get married or does not effect me in any way. There are several lesbians at my work and they are some of the nicest and hard working people there. Our EVS director is only 25 and she is gay. Her gf is a teacher and last week she helped me weed, prune trees, shape bushes, lay landscape fabric and put down about 16000 pounds (20 yrds) of mulch just to help me out since I am the only maintenance person. It was a lot of work for 2 people. She previously helped me put down 12 yrds and we are currently working on cleaning / organizing my storage shed. If they want to get married I would be gladly cheering them on. I do feel churches / businesses have the right to refuse services. I just think its hypocritical churches will marry rapists / murderers / pedos etc etc, and not bat an eye, but refuse to marry people of the same sex who are closer to God's / Jesus's teachings
