and, yes, I still contend that it was only needed by those whose immune systems were either damaged, or waning. You can ask about the 65+community, diabetics, etc... only those individuals - and their PCP - know their immune system.

The 'Rona was a new thing and hindsight tells me that no one knew WTF they were doing. I think some in the govt were enamored with more control over the populace, others were sincerely trying to do the best thing but didn't really know what the best thing was.
I did get the jab, it was strongly recommended by my doctor because I have The Beetus, but then a few months later I got the 'Rona anyway. Was like a bad cold for five days and I got two weeks off work. Never got any boosters because I figure I have natural immunity now.
Luckily I got Moderna which doesn't seem to have any negative afteraffects.

Speaking of how it affected you, you were lucky so to speak.
I don’t get flu shots. I might get the flu every two or three years and manage to stick it out, but this was like no flu I’ve ever had. Horribly miserable for a solid 2.5 weeks.
The flu on steroids it was.
I have acquaintances that almost covered the entire spectrum.
Have a cousin who had to be put on a ventilator and lived through it, ( I’ll put me right here), and then another friend who only lost her sense of smell and taste, and then a overweight smoking tequila drinker who had no symptoms at all.
Weird.
I got one shot because I had to. No more.
Next time something like this happens I’m gonna take up smoking and start drinking tequila.
