We saw the 1st Pre-Season opener and had some questions at the end.

What are some things you hope to see / clean up / player / & not BLITZ taking a poop.........

1) Clean up penalties in general, but STs the most. I want to see clear coaching stepping up to that degree.

2) A little more of Allar, possibly against 2s,3s, &4s. Maybe Rudy 2 - 3 series then Allar till 2 series into the third.

3) Holcomb more at ILB & just signed guy (memory loss on his name)

4) Benson start and go full 1st qtr.

5) What about Pat Freriermuth, show him for film and possible trade? Some think that might be the way to go (not me)

I would like to see the O-Line a little more cohesive, the QBs rotated with Rudy taking up the rear. Those penalties cleaned up as mentioned. RJ given early looks. Eli given some slot looks…

Fully agree, do you keep Fauntanu in a full game or just first 1/2.

I think 1st 1/2, don’t want him lowering his ability playing down to competition.

What will we see out of Jones ??

I play the starting Oline half a game. I rotate Jones with Cook..

I’d like to see Gabriel Rubio play the first half against their more polished players. I’d like to see pedal to the metal offensively. Just all out carnage. Show us exactly what everyone has. Aggressive attack on Defense. I definitely want to see the kid QB’s play against The more polished Jets the first 3/4. Let Rudy play the last quarter. Wetjen and Roman Wilson return KR,PR.

Well to be fair “the dad”, is leasing it . In my mind it is luxury though! Ya know as much as a CR-V can be. It is black edition though so we be stylin and profilin! Wooooo
 
Id like to see Fautnau play much better, and the run game get going. Throw Dowdle in there a bunch. Every runner has their own style and the line needs some live reps with Rico. Id also love to see DK, Pittman, Germs, and Wilson all on the field in an open set with Rodgers but thats wishful thinking. And if I'm being really greedy, Id love to see Dean, Porter, and Samuel all in there in the sub packages against 3 receiver sets. If Im being a complete self centered Steelers fan, Id love to see Allar out there for one series with our top wideouts. Lastly, if this is a preaseason Christmas list and I can be an entitled 5 year old asking for the world, Id like Jen Hale to be the sideline reporter in a french maid outfit.

they probably keep the pecking order the same because I don't think they want to be sending any messages to either Howard or Allar. They want Howard to have confidence and not be demoted and they want Allar to keep being hungry and perfect his craft. Seniority tends to be the arbiter in preseason. All of that said, Howard and Allar both played their first games in the NFL last week. Let's not pretend that Howard has done anything worthy over Allar. Holding a clipboard and being in meetings for a year is the only thing that earned him that spot which he probably will lose soon enough. Howard is being developed to be a Mason Rudolph. Allar is being developed as our starter for 2027 and beyond. Maybe Allar isn't the future but he has a shot with his talent. McCarthy wanted Allar. That's his first QB pick as our head coach. I would believe being a competent head coach he wants nothing but the best for Howard but behind the scenes when the microphones are off and he's talking to Tom Arth about the future, I'm pretty confident they see more in Allar for our franchise than Howard.

I think i agree with you. But that is the longest paragraph I have ever read
 
As one is a small sample size as is the other. Not sure what they will think of either prospect end preseason in regards.. to their ceilings.

I think next season the draft or free agency will answer that question.
 
The bar for Howard to make the team seems to be being able to start and win a game early in the season if Rodgers goes down, so I want Howard to start this game and be out there with the 1’s for 4 series minimum, give him his shot

I want to see both OL and DL out there dominating the line of scrimmage with the 1’s for the first quarter. Cam can sit, he’s obviously proven himself
