Iran

Here's what I think, because, well, why not.

Trump thought that we could bomb Iran into submission over a weekend and obviously that didn't happen, so there's a scramble going on to find a solution with a regime that doesn't negotiate.

As far as the Lincoln goes, who knows, but I guarantee that if this situation occurred during a Biden, or God forbid Harris administration we would never hear about it.

Hey I agree with almost everything, but the Lincoln stuff. I'm sure fox news or someone would have covered it. I think the biggest mistake was not aiming for regime change from the start. History shows this regime does not negotiate. If the regime was fully changed every thing else would have fallen into place much easier.

On a side note is there a legit reason for replacing the EMALS with the old steam based catapaults?

I'm glad DT got in but his second term has a "you can't go home again" feel to it maybe not as bad as Joe Gibbs returning to the Redskins but still a letdown.
Yeah, I’m somewhat aligned that statement at this point in his second term…

But he still is delivering the two main things that I voted him in again for… and those two things are keeping the country safe and keeping the country wealthy…

After all, that’s what it’s all about right?

Love the NFL analogy by the way

...and we would be bitching more about the treatment of those sailors if those two bums were the cause. Trump is getting the kid glove treatment here instead.

Then you are proving my point that the Lincoln story is 97.358% political in nature.

I don't know how political the story is. I'm sure there are tough conditions which have been acknowledged. I'm also sure some was blown out of proportion, but the issue was Trumps comments. Now he is threatening to bomb Oman. The whole thing is a hot mess. The 60 day "MOU" has expired and we sure don't seem any closer to a resolution.

Exactly right on all counts.
Bombing into submission turned out well for him during his first term.

The psychological stress sailors and soldiers are under have been around since there have been sailors and soldiers.
Gen. George Patton slapped a soldier before we understood what PTSD was.

Not a peep out of the media over this had a Democrat been in office.

Enough well-placed bombs in Oman and they could build a pipeline or canal bypassing the Strait of Hormuz pretty fast.

Imagine if Kamala had bombed Iran in 2025 and declared a massive victory and that the nuclear program was obliterated in so much word salad and then started a 2 day then 4 week then 6 month war this year with no end in sight we'd be beside ourselves saying Trump never would have gotten us involved in another neocon war and if he did he would have ended it quick.

"The psychological stress sailors and soldiers are under have been around since there have been sailors and soldiers."

The difference today is means of communication at our fingertips where white, liberal women and the beta media are offended for them, those same people that have no idea what life is like on a ship that isn't owned by Carnival Cruise Lines.

Carnival might even be more traumatic.

I can not confirm or deny, but Trump is the one proclaiming this. I don't see any other sources saying it is open and demined, but we will see

Too bad Supe hasn't included you in the daily updates from the WH

Sometimes I'll see Facebook reels by Charleston White I guess he's like kind of a middle-age hip-hop guy offering social commentary on hip-hop or black culture. He was talking about the unspoken code of the streets that it's worth it to run if you can get rid of the drugs and avoid a possession charge, even if it means taking an *** whipping from the police or them roughing you up or putting the cuffs on tighter so to speak. He said "we talking about cops and robbers...business between cops and robbers..now we got all these other people in society (meaning liberals and white women) worried about cops and robbers bidness..when that had always been between the cops and robbers."

Surprise! This has been ongoing for weeks and they forgot to tell Jizzer:

"The US successfully protected tankers carrying about 5 million barrels of oil daily throughout July by conducting stealth missions near the Omani coast, the New York Times reported."

Wow absolutely amazing 1/3 of ships can get through with some taking damage along with the USA having to use massive resources to do so. I also believe this is a modified route going through the Oman side. If you want to count that as a big win then go for it. It doesn't change the fact that the straight should have been one of the top priorities as soon as this mess started.
