He sounds like he's coming from the same place as you.
I'm not as MAGA as I used to be. Gas is still $4.50 a gallon and I'm not seeing trainloads of illegals heading toward Mexico and nukes dropped on Iran.
DOGE was good, getting rid of USAID was good, but I expected more. SAVE Act passed, REINS Act passed.
Of course half the Pubbies in DC are working against him too.
If Trump doesn't fix this **** soon he's going to lose the midterms.

I'd bet that he's still MAGA in the traditional sense and not the way some here try and pigeonhole us into. Likely disappointed more than done, because some issues are still unresolved.


Just to clear the air: I’m a MAGA conservative, but that doesn’t mean what some here think it is. Let me break it down, because I’m tired of being told what I believe and what I stand for. I realize that not every conservative is the same, but most that I know share these same principles.

1. I believe America should never depend on another country for energy, protection, or basic supply and demand.

2. I believe America must put itself first. Our country should prioritize our own people before trying to save the world.

3. I believe only legal citizens have the right to vote. You must have a valid ID to vote. I also believe in a secure election process.

4. I believe no foreign aid should be given until every veteran at home is taken care of.

5. I believe immigrants make America stronger — when they come legally. If your first act in this country is breaking the law, you don't deserve to be here.

6. You can marry who you want. I may agree or disagree with your lifestyle, but your life is not mine to judge,

7. I believe men are men and women are women. Surgery or hormone don’t change that. Men should use men’s bathrooms, and women should use women’s bathrooms.

8. I believe schools are for education, not indoctrination. Kids should learn math, history, reading, and science - not political propaganda.

9. I believe America is in a mental health crisis. Mental health care is real, it matters, and it desperately needs to be addressed.

10. I believe guns aren’t the problem - people are. Gun control only infringes on constitutional rights.

I’m a conservative because I believe in faith, family, freedom, and personal responsibility. I don’t want a government that controls every aspect of my life, I want a government that protects our rights, secures our borders, defends our freedoms, and then gets out of the way. We are strongest when Americans take care of America first, when families are supported, when our veterans are honored, and when our children are given truth, not propaganda. I love this country, and I believe it’s worth fighting for.

I suspect the libs on this site would agree with every point and still vote for a party whose platform disagrees with every one of them.

I'd like to add in that until another society shows up America, that America should expand the rights endowed upon her citizenry by the Creator--the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness--to as many peoples and their lands as the US decides.

I agree with A-A-Ron about the disappointment of the 2nd Trump administration. The bombing of Iran was unnecessary, stupid, damaging, idiotic and the opposite of what he promised ("no more forever wars"). I criticized bombing Iran's nuclear facilities in June of 2025 because I did not find anything close to reasonable justification for it, and noted that if we are free to launch sneak attacks* on foreign nations because they are supposedly building a dangerous weapon, doesn't that mean other nations can do the same to us??

And of course after we obliterated, eviscerated, subjugated, ameliorated, and ... conjugated Iran's nuclear capabilities we ... launch more bombing in February of 2026 to neutralize their nuclear capability? Da FUQ????

And we won that war back in February, whee!! And won it again in March, and April, and June, and July, and August, no I mean September!!

So gas if $3.89/gallon where I live instead of $2.29/gallon, the debt has exploded, we have expended tens of millions of dollars of ordnance for nothing so far, and have no easy way out of the stupid Iran war.

You are comparing the attack on Iran to eliminate them having a nuclear weapon to the attack on men women and children at pearl harbor to bring the US into WW2 is that what you are doing?
 
Steeltime, the past 6 months and Iran has been about changing the global oil distribution and the $$$$ associated with that away from the Iranians and their British bankers/insurers into the hands of the commercial allies of America.

Trump is breaking the last vestiges of the British Empire, the same fuuckers who you all fought 250 years ago. The only real domino left to fall is the central banking cabal/currency arrangement. Thanks to Tiny Tim Geithner, the US holds the most valuable cards here.

First, we have been told several times that the sneak attack of Iran did NOT eliminate their nuclear weapons. Othewise, why are we bombing them for seven months in 2026?

Second, yes, sneak attacks on nations and people not involved in ongoing hostility are bad. If you justify the bombing of Iran on the fact that the nation was developing a dangerous weapon we don't trust them to have, then you cannot criticize any other nation for bombing United States weapon research and development sites because they don't trust us with some type of new weapon.

Third, I don't think the United States is immune to criticism regarding targeting civilians during military operations. Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in an estimated 300,000 civilian deaths.

The attack on Iran was ill-conceived, unnecessary, and has resulted in higher oil prices and resulting higher gasoline prices. No more forever wars, no more stupid wars in the Middle East!

You are comparing the USA dropping bombs 80+ years ago To end a war to stopping Iran from getting a nuke. Not really Iran, a regime that took over Iran almost 50 years ago.

I don't pretend to like everything Trump has done in his 1st or 2nd term, but I can guarantee you he has done more good than bad.
I was not a fan of doing anything in Iran for the reasons you stated. But now? Let's hope Trump has the balls to stick with it and get these crazy ***** out of power.

The 7th century barbarians continue to breed outpacing that of the civilized world and have made it abundantly clear as to their objective.
Short of turning the Middle East to glass, we'll be fighting them for the rest of our lives, as well as our children's lives and our children's children.

You lost me on the mental health issue. My guess is that 75% of the mental health issues out there are really just people suffering from the consequences of really, really stupid decisions. Fix that, and those "mental health" issues vastly diminish.

For the topic of mental health stuff, how can we trust what those experts tell us, when the goal posts of "mentally healthy" keep moving? What was recently mentally ill is now mentally healthy, even though the statistics show otherwise?

Just look at that hack lady who offed her three kids, but couldn't help it, so is innocent? That insanity of the masses, not her. She's just playing the poker game to win.

We had a kid in a high school I taught at who had a diagnosis of "serial masturbator." Not kidding. So, the school had to provide him with a private room, issued, a hand sink, etc. to go to throughout the day to live out his mental health. He went 3-5 times a day. WHAT?!?!?! The dude was an out of control pervert who needed to be locked up until he learned how to think about other things.

Sorry. I find the mental health community to be nuts, and avoiders of maturity. Not sorry.

A lot of mental breakdowns I see are from people that were never told no, suddenly not getting their way for the first time and they have no ability to process it.

Well, I contend that much of this started when we were told that mental institutions were cruel and were forced closed. Problem was, and still it, that they simply closed the doors and said be free, without any plan on what to do with these individuals. Now, the live amongst us. I'm not referring the blue haired no kings types, they're simply nuts because of media influence, both social and MSM.
