Let's just stop the denial, we white people are evil...

I am sick of that ****, too. Native Americans act like in the past all they did was sit around with all the other tribes and smoke peace pipes, laugh and play. Bullshit. They tried to wipe each other out. I guess they are just pissed because the white people did it better than anyone else.

If you watch "Dances with Wolves," a scene in that just cracks me up. Another tribe is set to attack the Sioux. The Sioux warriors go out to head them off. It is a faint, and the other tribe, the "noble" Native Americans, are going to attack the village with nothing but old men, women and children. Thank goodness Kevin Costner has guns. Anyway, at the end, Costner's character makes a speech about it was a war not fought over some dark political objective or land, but to protect the food stores for the winter. How "noble."

It's war! Does it really matter what it is over? People die. Are some deaths more noble? And lets look at the scenario. One tribe faked out the other one so as to attack a village with old men, women and children. If successful, they were going to kill as many of the old men, women and children as they could while stealing all the food, leaving the survivors to starve.

Oh, those peace loving Native Americans.

Come on now, it's "smoke-um peace pipe."

This has been my argument for years. Many tribes held child sacrifices as well. They were always fighting each other and enslaving each other. That's the way it was back then. You can't judge the past through a 21st century lens. The history of the world is filled with slaves, war and suffering. The U.S. is an anomaly in world history. The greatest country to ever exist and it's being destroyed from the inside by traitors. Traitor socialists democrats and RHINO republicans that care more about power than anything. BHO wanted to "fundamentally change America". You don't fundamentally change something you love and respect. You do that to something you despise and loath. It's sickening what they have done to the greatest country in the history of the world.

I hate the Oakland Raiders. They could have playing QB for them the greatest person who ever lived. This QB saved the world from certain annihilation. If the Raiders would win the Super Bowl, it would be good for mankind.

I'd still root against them.

Too many people vote this exact way. Many know what is good for them and good for the country, but they will not vote that way. They don't want to be considered uncool, or whatever. It's crazy. How anybody could think Barak Obama was going to be good for the country is beyond me. I can buy that people were fooled the first time, but the second time? And I know the people who expect handouts voted overwhelmingly for him. But he wouldn't have won with just that. He got votes from people who ought to know better.

There are still slaves in America. It is the fools who continue to vote for a person based on what letter is next to his/her name.

I'll take that one step further and say that the people who are dependent on the gov't are the slaves and they don't know it.

I meant here. There's probably not even anyone alive today who knew anyone who was alive during slavery. Let it go already...

There's probably not anyone alive who knew anyone that was a slave owner as well.

...oh wait. Adrian Peterson once said that NFL owners were slave owners.

I think all of us Nationers of Caucasian decent, need to just accept the fact that this countries "color" and "culture" is changing, and changing quickly...

By 2050, the unofficial..official language will be Spanish, and the white race will be a minority, if you compare against all other races listed in the census. What I mean is that white vs all other, the all other will tally up higher than the white.

It is a reality, that is one reason I always promoted to my children, when they were of school age, to learn Spanish. It has actually help my oldest daughter receive promotions in her field of work which is education...Oh yeah, I forgot, most of you have issues with educators also. Sorry for bringing that up.

Didn't mean to hijack my own post...Back to the subject at hand, the bottom line is "it is what it is" folks...This country is in for some huge changes in the upcoming decades. At some time in the not so distant future, America will not look, feel, act, govern, speak, educate(history), etc...as it does today.

steel dino's take on all this, if any of you give a rat's ***.....My grandparents immigrated from Italy in the early 1920's searching for better life, for them and also their decedents. I am forever grateful and in debt to them for that, because their intent worked. And I believe as America continues to naturally evolve, it still will be the greatest country on earth for my children, grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren.

Remember, what makes us unique and the most powerful country on earth, is that we are all not the same socially, culturally, lifestyle choices, religiously, politically, etc & etc....and what makes this all work...is ultimately our acceptance of each others differences.

I partly agree but our ancestors 1) came in legally and 2) wanted to assimilate and become Americans. My Italian grandfather and great-grandfather wouldn't even speak Italian and my grandfather Americanized the family name due mostly to racial prejudice against Italians. Hispanics and now the Muslims demand that we are tolerant to their cultures but they have a tendency to be intolerant to ours. If you don't like it then don't move here and stay back home in your shithole country. Your "culture" is the reason that your country is a shithole, so why bring it here?

Same here......not a word of Italian was allowed in my grandfathers home when my Dad was a child. To the point that he never knew but a few words of Italian. And they did the same thing with the family name, although I have been tempted to reclaim it now that being Italian is cool and all.

I have Hispanic customers that claim to not know any English to the point that I will have to find someone that is bilingual to translate. But more times that not, I will ask a question and before the translator has a chance to speak, the person claiming to not know English is answering.

So yes, our culture may be changing, and that will make us unique, but will we continue to be the most powerful country on earth? I'd bet not.

And there were no slave owners in my family either. They came for a better live and insisted their children work hard and become Americans.

If you think what makes America the most powerful country on earth is differences in culture, lifestyle choices etc.. then you don't understand the foundation and history of the U.S. What made America great was that a group of similar people came to the country and setup a government to free people from oppression. Early on the U.S. government was designed to get government out of people's way and to protect religious liberty and freedom. They all had the same culture. People that came here assimilated into that culture. They loved America. Now people flood here that hate the country and want to change it into the shithole they just came from.

If you really think this country is going to be better off in 50 years then I don't know what to tell you. History isn't on your side. Just look at Rome.

Slavery ended in 1863.
One of great immigration waves to the US occurred between 1820 to 1870. Approx 7 ½ million immigrants entered, a third Irish, a third German. Doubt if anyone escaping the potato famine were seeking slave owner opportunities in the US. They settled mostly in the northern cities, as did the next immigration wave.

Slavery was dead and gone when the next great wave occurred from 1881 to 1920. They were called the "new immigrants". Nearly 23 ½ million immigrants entered the United States, most from southern and eastern Europe. (Slavic, Italian)
That is the wave my ancestors rode on.

The population of the US was a scant 31,443,321 in 1860. How many owned slaves? 1% ? I don't know, but I would venture to say that the overwhelming majority of the US population today could not trace their ancestry to a slave owner.

The liberal ******* equates those immigrants to the illegals of today. Big difference. Aside from the fact they came legally, those immigrants came to the new world to seek opportunity, not ******* government handouts. They came with pennies in their pockets knowing the government wasn't gonna give them jack ****, it was up to them.
Most survived and prospered. My grandfather was one of them. Came from the Ukraine just before the outbreak of WWI.

And, unfortunately to a large extent, the United States.

Can you imagine the outcry if we had an Ellis Island situation at the southern border where people were inspected, deetected, neeglected and seelected? /Arlo Guthrie shout out

I thought Republican men still owned a slave, they call them "their wife".

Pretty soon if a restaurant doesn't have ethnic food or soul food on the menu, they will be considered racist.

Yes those immigrant loved America. In a sense this has always been going on, except it had nothing to do with hate or wanting to change the country.
Being of Slavic heritage I know that the descendants of those Slavic immigrants to this very ******* day are staunch Democrat voters. I once told my father who is now dead that by him voting democrat, he is helping to turn this country into the very socialist shitholes his parents had escaped from.

Whitey owns the woods

NY Times Author: Whites Prevent Minorities from Going to National Parks

"The national parks attracted a record 292.8 million visitors in 2014, but a vast majority were white and aging. The most recent survey commissioned by the park service on visitation, released in 2011, found that 22 percent of visitors were minorities, though they make up some 37 percent of the population.

"This suggests an alarming disconnect," he writes.

Nelson believes that white people are, at least in part, to blame. "Carla DeRise has been to Mount Rainier and other parks, and is game to go again," Nelson details. "She just can’t get any of her friends to come along. They are worried about unfriendly white people, hungry critters and insects, and unforgiving landscapes, said Ms. DeRise."

Same here Ron....No Italiano spoken to us young ones. Sometimes I wish they had....would love to be able to speak the language at this stage of my life..

Although, I believe that even if you learn the language of your parents or grandparents country of origin, it doesn't equate to promoting your culture......two different things IMHO>>

I love America ...means the same whether spoken in Italian, Spanish, Russian, or even pig Latin..

Vader---Those people of similar origin gained this countrys independence from an oppressive regime, and as a nation we are forever grateful for the sacrifices...however, what made this country the most powerful country on earth, was the hard work of the immigrants that built this country with the sweat of their brow, and defended it in 2 world wars with the blood from their veins..

We are strong because of being a nation of immigrants....unlike any other ever know in the history of mankind.

I don't think it has to do as much as where you came from, but what values you come with. Most past immigrants came with the belief that if you worked hard, the opportunities were there. Now, they come for, as one Dominican woman told my sister, ....for the "free ****". Big difference.
