If this is trivial, as many suggest, then the timing -- seeming to avoid commenting on the wave of police deaths, makes some folks think he had nothing better to say, which is insulting from a President that has openly opined about many other law enforcement issues.

I agree. But he does this all the time- I have quit caring. I've come to expect him to do something like this any time something newsworthy happens. Deflect, deflect, deflect. I'm not outraged anymore. just jaded and sick of him.

Obama doesn't need Ohio any more, the Democrats can't win Ohio this year anyway...so the timing works politically...even if that's the motivation.

That some old crochety prospector got to rename the mountain in the first place is as moronic as anything I've ever heard. The Bureau of Land Management/Department of the Interior should have asked "Hey, I know people are calling this thing 'Mt. McKinley'...but what's the mountain's real name?"

It's just the left being offended for others. Step in line and realize they are our moral compass.
Lots of examples, Janet Napolitano renaming Squaw Peak in Phoenix. Wasn't an issue until she took office, even with the native indian population.
