I feel compelled to make 2 points. I refuse to weigh into the rhetoric of liberal and conservative that pollutes thought. I have no vote in an American Election and I do respect the right of everyone to voice their opinion in an election. The Canadian election didn't go any way I would have hoped, but I do respect the verdict. That said I strongly urge you all to consider:
1. Remove yourself from the rhetoric of conservative or liberal media and research closely the term Demagogue and then read transcripts of Mr. Trumps speeches and make your decision not based upon what others tell you.
2. Your country was founded on the belief of shaking off the shackles of tyrants and kings. Subsequently, your ancestors and family members (Grandparents, parents, possibly your children and maybe even yourself) suffered unspeakable loss to rid the world of tyrants and dictators. The things Mr. Trump is promising you to make you feel safe and secure and prosperous cannot be achieved by a representative democracy, but only a centralized form of government like a dictatorship. Saying Trump is a dictator or tyrant is a total reach. However, to achieve the goals that he has aspired to could not happen without compliance of the House and Senate. Believing that he could actually get that support to achieve those goals is an equally large reach.
Good luck with your decision in the next year.
