Just reported by Stan Savarin. Lots of luck with that Hue baby.

wow, this guy has got no clue... he went from the raiders to the bengals to the browns... Talk about picking the path to failure

The question remains; how long will this one get? I say two seasons max and the search begin again.

I'm shocked that the Browns landed a guy that was drawing interest elsewhere, but I'm not sure it matters who they hire.

They can change QBs, coaches, owners, leave the city and come back as the Clowns, they'll always be the same ****** *** team from Cleveland that can't do anything right.

I can't understand why he went there. I think NY wanted him and 49ers. NY could have been prime. 49ers may be as bad as the Browns but **** at least it's warm out. Lol.

Maybe if was more about where he and his family live. If they are already set up in OH he figured wtf.

the 9rs are run like the raiders now... they just fired a coach after 1 year. The giants have a ton of pressure but are a fairly well run org. the browns are a perpetual shitstorm but close to where he set down roots... its a mistake move born from proximity if you ask me... like Lebeau going back to cinci...

Who are the teams looking for a coach going to interview now to appease The Rooney Rule???

ha ha

Bengals fans have someone new to hate

Guaranteed contract for a coach is 4-5 years, $3-5 million. Fired in 2 and coast for a long time.

Hue turned down the succession plan from the Bengals... I believe Marvin Lewis is retiring after this season, which is why he isn't being fired.... (why pay him for one year of nothing when you can keep him and pay one less coach, says the cheapskate owner)

Anyhow he gets a 5 year contract from the browns... so 2 years of coaching, maybe 3 , then a couple of paid years off...

Inside Browns HQ:

1) "Hey guys we need a new head coach"

2) "Again?"

1) "Yes Again, it's time. We just got rid of our GM, so we had to get rid of our Coach, and of course the QB will be next"

3) "It's the Browns way, New GM, New HC, New QB, wash rinse repeat. The recipe for success!"

1) "This time it will work, trust me, but we have to find the right candidate."

4) "Carrot Top! That dude is hilarious, and he's JACKED!"

1) "I don't think he coaches. He does prop comedy"

2) "How about we do an in depth interview system, bring in a lot of candidates. Check them out, call them out and whittle the finalists down by mid Feb?"

4) "We don't have that kind of time. I have a spa treatment to get to."

3) "Well we have to bring in a Rooney Rule player to interview"

4) "Tick-tock, I've got to get going, Real wives of NJ comes on in like 2 hours, just hire a black guy"

1) "WTF, aren't we going to do this intelligently?

4) "I'm the wife of the owner. You still want a job tomorrow 'lawyer'?"

1) "FML, OK, so we're going to hire a minority candidate, who are the best options?"

2) "I have a list of about 4 college coaches that would fit the profile"

3) "There are some great NFL Assistants in ARI, PIT, KC, and CIN to take a look at."

4) "Cincinnati it is!"

1) "WTF, why Cincinnati?"

4) "Because it's in the same damn state. He can walk here and we can interview him immediately."

2) "Alright, Jackson is promising in Cincinnati. He has experience mentoring QBs and he was good in Oakland"

4) "That's our guy!! Thanks for the chat boys, I've got to run. I know you dolls can handle the paperwork without me. Tootles!"

1) "WTF just happened?"

3) "It's the Browns way. Wash rinse repeat..."

I read he already stated they will be moving on from Johnny Football. How long until Jerry Jones picks him up off the waiver wire lol

I hope Hue succeeds there I really do but with that ownership, it will be struggle for him. First order of business is to cut ties with Johnny Goofball and draft the young Cal QB and begin your process. The Browns though have to understand that this will not happen overnight but to be patient but that's where the problems reside. They will find a way to screw this up too.

Surprised the Clowns got him. Really surprised.

They could have done worse but in reality they are still the Brown Stains. Should have applied for that LA move too. Only way to save this team.

I hope they fire him after the first game, then Marvin retires and the Bungles hire him back. Then the Bungles fire him and the Browns rekinlde their love affair. Then he coaches 2-3 more games and is fired again. The Bungles would still be coach-less and they'll rehire him since they play the Browns that week and will want the inside scoop on the organization. They, of course, lose on a last minute FG and Burfdefect stabs PacMan. Hue quits and Marvin is hired back.

Which of course, means the Browns will then be pressed into re-rehiring Hue since he just beat them.

There are virtually no circumstances that would make taking a head coaching job with the stains. The ONLY way it would be wise is if NO ONE else was going to hire you as a head coach, not just now, but also not in the foreseeable future. And even then it's questionable.

To think that Hue would have other offers makes this insane.

Jackson was the hottest coordinator name out there this year outside of maybe Gase...maybe. Surprised he took Cleveland as well, but I wasn't under the impression that the Giants were high on him. Marrone has been one of the names I've seen most connected with NY since Coughlin resigned.

Over on the Clowns message board you'd think they just signed Vince Lombardi to be their next head coach...saying he's the coach they all wanted, best possible hire, Super Bowl bound in three years....blah, blah, blah. It just seems like 50 years of futility has taught them nothing!

I like Hue, and wish he hadn't taken this gawd forsaken assignment. The Niners were a better fit.

As stated above, nothing can help a **** organization. Not a coach, not a system, not a player, not a new stadium. And the Browns ownership is on of the worst in all of sports. Homers deny it, but I've said many times that if Peyton Manning came out a year later and went to the Browns, nobody would know who he was today.
