Super Bowl 50 game thread.

Would be nice to dip into FA and help fill a hole or two on day one of FA period.

Hard to do when you have your own guys to sign. You have to do your homework, and find undervalued guys like Ryan Clark, or James Farrior. Steelers need to extend Antonio Brown this offseason.

Cam is not thug but he is kind of a petulant child when things start going badly, I will say that.

he will learn from this. Not many newbie SB QBs have a spectacular day. The older he gets, the more mature he will become. He's still quite wet behind the ears and needs work to get that W in the SB. Plus, he needs receivers.

He needs a greater cast of players around him. You can't do it all yourself...unless your name is Big Ben that is.

Took Scam Newton two weeks more than I expected to show what he was. If he is MVP, I have to laugh. And can anyone change the movie name to blindsided. What a ****** turn style Oher was.

Normally, I'm not for picking up an expensive FA, but we have a 3-4 year window, and then it could be back to the dark ages for awhile. I say we need to make some kind of splash. Go for the SB!

So he's like Brady, Eli, Dalton, Flacco and a host of other QBs around the league. It's not uncommon. Unprofessional, shows weakness ... but not uncommon.

I agree 100%...Hopefully Tolbert and the Rooney's do also. One can hope. Right?

Cam just isn't a great QB. Not yet anyway. He's very effective when their run game is working and he can play action and hit his first read. But when he has to throw against an honest pass defense that isn't chatting to stop the run, Cam struggles.

He just didn't read quick enough. He held the ball all night because he wasn't sure what to do. That is common for a Cam. This year though, the run game was so good that he was not in the situation very often so he was rarely tested outside his comfort zone.

He's gotten a lot better as a passer but he's still nowhere near as good as most think. You'd swear this week Cam was the greatest QB to ever play, totally unstoppable.

Cam held the ball because his receivers weren't open. The pressure got there quick, and Carolina doesn't run the sort of quick passing game that can offset that. You can't just throw the ball if no one is open. This is one of the reasons Ben took such a beating under Arians. Ben still likes to go deep, but the short passing game is much better now, and Ben isn't hit nearly as much. Carolina needs to upgrade their receiving corps. Getting Benjamin back will help, but they need more. Cotchery was horrible. The bobble play was a bad call, but he put himself in position to get screwed by not catching it cleanly, and the pass he dropped on the sideline may have cost them 7 points. That's a possible swing of 14 points because he didn't catch the ball.

Very few qbs could have done much against Denver tonight playing behind that line, and with those receivers. When the d gets pressure like that, and you don't have quality wideouts, no qb is going to get it done. We played them better than anyone down the stretch. If we had been healthy, we might be lifting the Lombardi tonight. Single plays can make all the difference. If Sanders doesn't knock that ball away from Gay in the fourth quarter, Denver's season comes to an end 3 weeks ago.
Unless we drastically changed the way we play defense against the Patriots, I do not see us going to Foxboro and winning. Brady just chews up that soft coverage everytime. I know the wishful thinkers would have us winning because of our potent offense, but we went up there week one healthier than we were all year and again couldn't score. The last TD was on the last play of the game and didn't mean ****.

The Pats weren't healthy 2 weeks ago. I think it would have been the best chance we ever had to come out of there with a win.

That's going to be the Steelers up there hoisting the trophy next year folks. Mark my words.

I just marked it down my friend. :)

Von Miller was the no-brainer MVP - monster game!

Yet you care enough to try and make it a race thing, thug is thug regardless of color.moron.

So what lately has Cam done to be called a thug?

The trophy presentation is too long. Damn, that woman with all the plastic surgery was scary looking. I think my tv broke.

Yet you refuse to label Manziel as one
