The top NFL QB Ratings are

Tom Brady
Matt Ryan
Dak Prescott
Drew Brees
Marcus Mariota
Matthew Stafford
Derek Carr
Kirk Cousins
Ben Roethlisberger
Aaron Rodgers
Brian Hoyer
Sam Bradford
Andrew Luck
Russell Wilson
Philip Rivers

I find it odd we only played two of them this late in the season. Cousins had an off day in the opener and a rookie lit the Steelers up for 35 points. So while the Defense is getting better, we really didn't play many top QB so far.

Now do a list for all the other teams then you have some perspective

Okay, I'll look at a few teams we played.

Miami played 4 top 15 QB's
Baltimore played 4 top 15 QB's
Kansas City played 5 top 15 QB's
Washington played 6 top 15 QB's
Philadelphia played 7 top 15 QB's.

Antdrewjosh, how many more examples are needed? I think my point was easily proven. Now you have some perspective.

The Steelers only played two top 15 NFL passer rated QB's. Other teams played double to triple our amount.

*** I did not check if all the top Qb's played each game vs the above teams ***

So how many top 15 rush offenses have we played? And then of course check everyone else too

Boy, you switched topics fast! Below are the top 15 offenses to date in terms of total yards per game. In 12 games played the Steelers faced...just 5 of those teams. But I doubt Indy will remain on the top 15 charts for long so by next week if could be down to 4.

New Orleans Saints
Washington Redskins
Atlanta Falcons
Dallas Cowboys
Oakland Raiders
New England Patriots
Tennessee Titans
Cincinnati Bengals
Arizona Cardinals
San Diego Chargers
Pittsburgh Steelers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Green Bay Packers
Seattle Seahawks
Indianapolis Colts

Now, do you really want me to show you how many other teams have played more?

didn't we play tom brady?

Now with Sean Davis I am not afraid of playing a top tier qb. that man is a beast

Ah yes, up to 3. I missed him. I usually don't count cheaters.

I'm not switching topics my point is you can look up as many stats as you want it doesn't mean anything you play who is on your schedule.

I'd rather look at it in terms of yards. Throw in Brady cause he missed the first four games, and add Dak cause Ben shouldnt count cause he's on our team. We played 5 out of the top 15.

what ******* difference does it make? you can only play who is on your schedule. The giants aren't on the list, but they were 8-3 and the game was never in doubt....

what matters is winning the next 4 games....and rolling into the playoffs on a hot streak......all this other **** is just posters stirring useless ****

I think, as important as the count is to look at what the difference is between #15 and, say, #25. I'm not sure how much the QB Rating changes but it seems a difference in QB rating of 7 may not be that big an issue? At what point would you consider the difference significant?

In any event, the difference between Rivers at 15 and two QB's we have played, Dalton, Kessler Smith and Tannehill (16-19) is 0.4. 0.4, 0.5 and 1.7).

Can I also point out that the Ravens have won TWO games to teams that currently have winning records?

Or we could just pretend that QB rating is an all-inclusive determining statistic.

Who gives a **** about the QB's we played. Who gives a **** about the offenses and defenses we played. If we pull through and make the playoffs with all the injuries we have had, that is all that matters.

Guys, I truly don't think Coach can help it. He's like Rainman, he HAS to look up these obscure and meaningless (in the grand scheme) stats. It's like he has OCD or something (and no SD, OCD does not stand for Obsessive **** Disorder). As has been noted by other posters, the only things that matters are: 1) Our record now and 2) Our record next week. Number 1 is already in the books. Take care of number 2 and rinse, wash, repeat to the playoffs.

We are judging QBs by their passing ratings now?

Because stats always tell the whole story

(insert eyeroll here)

BTW Ben has more rings than all QBs on that list but one (Coaches list).

But **** what does rings have to do with anything..............

Games before yesterday, Beckham averaged 13+ypc. Yesterday (targeted more times than any other game this year) he averaged 10 ypc.

Let's look at Manning's passer rating.....by opponent.

Averaging his game passer ratings against everyone but the Steelers gives you...91.4. Passer rating for the Steelers is 21.5 lower! Second lowest of the year for him. Hmm....

Minnesota has a damn good D too.

Hopefully the D continues to show improvement because that will help balance this team.

I need to see more than this small body of work.

Buffalo and the Rats will help show where they are at.........

Have to love that Gmen performance though.......

Ben had 3 games of sub 70 passer ratings. Want to know what else those games have in common?

All losses? check.
All away games? check.

For one loss, Ben was out with injury and for the Dallas game, he had 125+ passer rating.

If you are trying to provide a sample size of top 15 QB ratings, give the sample size for each week after Week 1. Then collate the number of top 15 QBs opponents then. Because the sample size changes each week that is played.

Otherwise, all you are providing is a list for one given week. Or basically, incomplete data to base an opinion.

Advanced Statistics ... I hated that class.

Dak lit us up for 35 points? Pretty sure it was Elliot that had two rushing TD's, and an 83 yard screen pass for another score (the 83 yards might go towards Dak, but it was all Elliot on that play). Dak didn't light us up, Elliot torched our D. But then again, Ben torched theirs to the tune of 408 yards and 3 scores.
