Felony charges dropped, Darrelle Revis, now wants to play for the Steelers

but but but - I don't give a **** about the past! The time is NOW!

He's had a bad year, wrist surgery, Jets sucked - c'mon down!

I get it, 5 wide outscore everyone, hope Good Ben shows up every game. My issue is him saying it would be a dream to play for the Steelers after turning the Steelers down a few times.

He's not the same player he was back then when he could demand $100M contracts - we get him CHEAP for a year

He said he wants to play here - on a contender I guess - what can't you understand?

STEELER CHEAP - last chance *******!

If Revis has anything left in his legs and the Steelers can get him for the right price, I take him as a depth player.

Here's the deal - throw away your madden GM handbooks

EVERY YEAR TILL BEN RETIRES

WE ARE ON A ONE YEAR MISSION

**** THE FUTURE - **** IT ALL

ON A

ONE YEAR MISSION

He said that he dropped 10 lbs from this time last year and is working out, and got a new nutrition plan. Maybe he was just a fatty last year and out of shape. The Jets were so bad, maybe he didn't give a crap.

Jets totally sucked

Revis open to playing safety, lost 10 pounds

Free agent Darrelle Revis said he "definitely" wants to continue his playing career and would be open to a position switch to safety.

The soon-to-be 32-year-old (in July) is working with a new trainer and has changed his entire nutrition plan, resulting in a loss of 10 pounds. Some estimated Revis, who is listed at 198 pounds, was playing at upwards of 220 pounds in 2016.

If he wants to be a Steeler then sign the ******* wanker. It's not gonna hurt giving Revis a chance

the plane should already be in the air!

How many FA players want to choose to come to Pittsburgh anymore?

They KNOW they are coming for cheap - SIGN HIM!

yes I get it. Its a dream come true for me.

and I say we go get Adrian Peterson or Jamaal Charles too - we need a kick returner and another RB that might have some game breaker skills, scare the **** out of defenses!

If we can get him 1). cheap as and 2). as a safety to replace Mike Mitchell, then YES!!! Sign him up. Otherwise, no. Don't want him taking playing time away from Sean.

I've read that he's in great shape now and altering his workout and nutrition regimen. The biggest reason he was bad last year was because he was out of shape. I don't think he needs to move to safety at all. I think he can play corner and, at the right price, would instantly upgrade our secondary. Make it happen KC!!!

He's coming for a Super Bowl ring! That may outweigh sitting on your *** for 6 million a year. He should be set for money unless he was stupid in his spending. If the guy is in good health and is working his *** off a 1-2 year deal would be great. He can play safety with maybe a little corner. I won't hold my breath on signing him.

Oh... Revis has a guaranteed salary of $6 million from the Jets deal just for sitting on his *** this year. So you might have to beat that in order to get him to play (it's offset by a new contract).

According to Moving the Chains on NFL radio, his $6 million guarantee from the Jets kicks in unless he makes more than 6 mil next year. They way they explained it is, if we sign Revis to a $1million, 1 year contract, the Jets still have to pay him $5 million. Knowing this, i doubt any team will sign him to a long term deal, especially one that averages more than $6 million a year. We should bring him in on a 1 year, Vet-min, contract and kick the tires. Stick the Jets with a $5 million bill. Make the contract have incentives where he can make more if he plays well, possibly with a 2nd year option at around 4 to 5 mil. If he is washed up, cut him. The cap hit would be minimal.

This makes sense.....hmmmmm! No way we do it.

I don't think he would be an upgrade at Safety. For the most part I was happy with Mitchell. And there is no way he replaces Davis. Slot Corner or off Corner against a weak wide out. Different story.

Dreams don't pay the bills. Every time he was a FA previously he was commanding way more money than the Steelers could afford. Home town discounts only stretch so far....
