Will have to beat Brady twice

why the **** does this thread exists?

What everyone needs to remember is that the Steelers left AT LEAST 28 pts on the field in the AFCC game last year. maybe 31.

If the receivers catch the ******* ball, that game ends the other way. Coby Hamilton was personally responsible for at least 14 points and possibly 21. Antonio dropped a TD. Sammy ******* Coates... Oh dear God, I get angry typing his name, dropped at minimum a FG and at best an early go-ahead TD.

And the Steelers were crippled with Bell from halfway through the 1st series.

**** em. If the Steelers can't beat the cheating ********, then ******* blow Brady's knees to hell in the 4th so they have to put in backup QB whoever. And watch THAT ****** execute every bit as well as Brady ever did the following week. Cause it will ******* happen.

Mark Sanchez beat that extraordinary, incredible, amazing, legendary team twice in one season.

Mark @#$%ing Sanchez.

No. The jets incredible defense of 2010 beat that extraordinary, incredible, amazing, legendary team twice in one season.

I had a really good whiskey today. It's called Copper Fox. It almost has a hint of leather to it. Really interesting and enjoyable. I'm having trouble keeping concentration while drinking it. I can't remember if this thread was meaningful...

Would that be "shoe" type Leather or "belt" type leather as those have two very distinct full differences. Oh and yes,........this thread is meaningful so as I can state the obvious

the pats don't have much pass rush,. They will take away the deep stuff and force Ben to be patient. That is often Ben's weakness. He always wants the big play.

We just saw against the Titans how devastating this offense can be simply by spreading the ball, hitting the open man and moving chains. They tried to force deep throws early and it didn't work. Then when Ben was patient, took the open throws, it didn't take long before big plays did open up naturally as the defense tried to stop the shorter throws.

Ben seems to forget that the ball doesn't have to fly 30+ yards downfield to be a big play. With guys like AB, Bell, Martavis and JuJu, any short completion can become a big play.

If the steelers keep that in mind, the Pats defense has no chance to stop the steelers offfense. They simply don't have good enough athletes to cover all the steelers threats and they lack the pass rush that could compensate for that.

That's all the Pats ever do. You ever see them forcing deep ball? No, they get them naturally because they complete so many short ones, that eventually the DB gets greedy and then they throw over his head.

A little richer and slightly oily.

Yes, IF the Steelers keep that in mind. Which we've been screaming for how many years now?

Unfortunately, the Cheats are getting better as the year goes along. Their D, that sucks balls at the beginning of the season, has turned into a strength. Their last 5 opponents have been held to 17 or less. And, their O is clicking with Gronk, Cooks, Amendola (back from injury) and 3 or 4 RB's that play out of the backfield. They are going to be a tough out no matter where we play them and unless we win out, it will probably be in NE. I don't see the Bills, Jets or Dolphins beating them. The only good team left on their schedule is us. That is a must win if we want home field.

With that said, the AFC right now only has the Cheats and the Steelers. The rest of the teams are getting worse as the season goes along. The NFC, however, is loaded. The Eagles, Saints, Vikings and Rams are legit.

Here is how I see it playing out.

With Haden still out at home the Steelers give the cheats a good game, but the cheats come away victorious. But in the process gain some confidence in the close game and some anger that they felt they could of and should have won the game.

Steelers end up with the number two seed, cheats the number one seed.

Both teams advance to the AFC championship game.

Haden has been back for the playoffs. And the secondary is much improved which shows throughout the game limiting the cheats to a few field goals over TDs.

Steelers are back n forth in this game with a lead. With 3 minutes left the Patriots are ahead by three.

Steelers turn to the no huddle....

Steelers drive, get in field goal range. But keep driving....... with minimal time left on the clock TD Ben to JuJu.

Onto the SB !

**** it guess we are going to do what we have to do then

If you play in Cheat-town, your best bet is to go no-huddle the entire game and give them no signals at all to work with. Make the Defensive playcaller figure out as Ben calls the play what they're doing and try to get the play figured out and up to Ernie and back down in time.

That's the very best way to beat the cheating ******* offensively.

Defensively - swap your verbiage just before the game. Don't overhaul the entire play-calling lingo unless you can actually do that and have Butler and the two or three guys who call out plays on the defense up to speed. Assuming that's not possible, just swap the major lingo so that say... "Tango" means disguised man coverage instead of medium zone coverage" Or and "Zone will now mean Strong side."

So when Butler calls in "Tango Dilly Blitz" when it used to mean "medium zone coverage with a weakside blitz from the outside backer, under the swapped verbiage it would now mean disguised man coverage , middle blitz from Shazier."

With the cheaters you have to take what they know and use it against them.

The Steelers in addition to playing the Cheats Dec 17th play the Rogers-less-can't-score-shut-out-by-the-Rats-Packers next, the Rats, the Bungles, the factory of sadness no win Clowns and the Texans. It would be nice to beat the Cheats on the 17th and step on the throats of these teams with losing records but we all know the Tomlinesque tendencies!
Steelers need to keep the hammer down and foot on the gas. I'm not a big fan of the top seed bye week but we'll take it if the Steelers earn it. An AFC Championship game in the Burgh vs the Cheats?
WOW

First thing they have to get right is objective. You will never beat Brady. You have to defeat his weapons or blocking and likely a combination of both. I wish they didnt play them in regular season. I dont trust the Steelers brain trust. Someone will get valueable info from the regular season game. Wont be the Steelers.

******* whole lot of Cheatriots Paranoia on this thread. So, I thought I'd drop this little nugget of sunshine comparing the two defenses. Hint, ours is not as bad as some of y'all seem to think and there's has not improved as much as those same one's of y'all seem to think.

So, with that said, **** the Cheats. Come the AFCCG, let's send them to the Pit Of Misery ... Dilly Dilly!

Sure, throwing up the season D stats is good but our D has probably gotten a little worse. We now have a key injury to our secondary and are giving up multiple big plays in every game. But, as I said in my earlier post, the Cheats D sucked balls the first 5 games of the season. The last 5, only one team has made it to 17 points. So, they have figured out how to play D and their O has been unstoppable. And, they know our weaknesses and always exploit them. So, until we beat them when it counts, in the playoffs, stats really don't matter.

PS.. Why is Gronk so good? Sure, he is big but he is slow. He ran somewhere near a 4.8 coming out of college. That means pretty many LB's can keep up with or catch up with him. Heck, Shazier would blow right by him. Just struck me as curious because the dude just does not look fast out there on the field. I guess it's good route running and good hands.

Of the last 5 Steelers opponents, none have scored more than 17 either (only two scored as much as 17). Sorry, I refuse to join the "Patriots are some unbeatable boogey man" bandwagon. Line 'em up and let's play.

P.S.: On the season, only the Bears (23), Jags (30) and Browns (18) have scored more than 17 points against this Steelers defense.
