Let's see here Elftard, my grandfather on my dad's side worked in the coal mines in western PA for most of his adult life after getting out of the service until the day he retired due to black lung disease. My grandmother on my dad's side was a house maid and nanny until she was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. My grandmother on my mom's side was a house cleaner and my grandfather worked for Westinghouse in their drafting department for 45 years. My old man works as a shipping supervisor and my mom is a secretary. I paid my way through college working 3 jobs and student loans. I co-own a small architecture firm that we started in 2007. During the housing crisis and economic downturn I took out loans on credit cards and against my house to make certain that I did not have to lay off any of my staff because I knew that finding work would be damn near impossible. Everything my family or myself has accomplished has been by busting our ***** not because we were privileged. I know that my be a novel concept for you and the rest of your liberal friends. So do me a favor, take that white privilege and shove it up your *** sideways you racist ******* *******.
What people have never really understood is that racism is less about the color of your skin...and more about economic/class status....

The you don’t undrestand what affirmative action means. Affirmative action means giving a tangible preference to particular groups.
For example, right now in many colleges to gain admission, Asian-American students have to score 140 points higher than white students, 270 points higher than Hispanic students, and 450 points higher than black students.
That’s affirmative action at work. It’s kind of a soft quota. They don’t come out and say you must have X number of black students, but then they change the admission rules so that it usually works out that they get a certain "diverse" mix.
The rooney rule has nothing like that. There is no quota. There is no incentive for hiring a minority. The stanrd to satisfy the rule is so low, i don’t see how anybody can oppose it or see it as a burden.
It even counts if you do a phone interview. Are you saying it is some undue hardship that a GM or owner can’t talk to a guy on the phine for an hour? Sure, maybe the Bengals would call collect, but still it satisfies the rule.
Personally, i don’t think these teams interview enough people of any race. It is one of the toughest jobs there is, with the most pressure and often times the fate of a billion dollar business is tied to this one hiring decision, i don’t see why they aren’t all interviewing 20-30 guys. But somehow in the sports world, if you interview more that 2 or 3 people, the media calls you incompetent and demands you hire somebody immediately.
if a team violates the rule and gets punished, that punishment is for stupidity.
All you show is us is your ignorance by not even knowing what privilege is. You think it's the idea that things are handed to you, so you have to explain how people you know "busted their *****."
