How did Shaq Griffen do bench press?

Question is what round do we take him? I think it would have to be 1 or 2. I would not be upset with the pick at either place

Sorry, but i want no part of the Steelers picking him before round 3

i was thinking 5. 3 Is a little rich for my blood. Just a slightly bigger risk involved. Be ok with taking him with the first pick in 5 if still available.

He probably is a RD 5 talent due to his missing part but seeing how we don't have a #4, that's where I'd take him,.................see what's there in the 3rd, might be the guy............for our need. SPEED is what's it all about.

Salute the nation

he's a good story but let's not go crazy. Missing a hand is a big deal. It means he will have a hard time getting off blocks. There's a reason why arm length is measured at the combine, it is much harder to play with short arms because you can't fight off blocks or defend passes as well.

No way i would consider him any earlier that the 3rd roundand even then, there would probably be prospects i'd rather have.

I’d love to take Griffin especially if we don’t go ILB in round one or two I’d be ok doubling down but let’s be honest. No one is taking him in rounds 1-3. 99% sure he’s not going rounds 4-5. If he’s still on the board with 7a I’d be happy as hell.

our last pick in 5 is like a 6th round pick. How about that pick?

I think you guys are underestimating where he will go. He was all over the field against Auburn, all over the field in the senior bowl, and put up monster numbers in the combine. If we were talking about any other player you are looking at a top 10-15 pick more than likely. There is no doubt missing a hand is a big deal, but he was like that all his life basically and has learned to adapt. He has learned to play football at a high level and I think he can continue it in the pros. I would be shocked if he doesnt get drafted by round 3.

Nope. Wouldn’t do it. I honestly only give in a 1 in 4 shot being drafted at all. 7th is late enough that we should have gone ILB, S, TE, RB where we hopefully have the luxury of now doubling down on a position of need and a great story. It’s the same thing with that TE out of Wisconsin who’s missing fingers. Normally he’s a solid 3rd round pick but I think he’s likely a 6th to priority UDFA. Great stories but these are huge physical challenges they’ll have to overcome in the NFL.

How many 5th rounders bomb out? With that speed and resiliency I'd take that chance.

he should be allowed to play with a hook.....

kid has heart, not letting the lack of a hand keep him from following his dream. would not mind at all seeing him in Black and Gold
Or with the walking dead Merle's garrotte

I'd love to move up and get Roquan Smith...but the Steelers rarely do that, and I don't think there's a chance in hell he falls to the bottom of the round

To be honest I think there’s a better shot the Steelers moved down vs up. Missing that 4th I could see them trying to deal in round 1 or two to pick up a 3rd or 4th to bridge that gap between picks. Colbert likes having a pick in each round. The two 5th rounders bridge that gap a little for lack of a 6th. But I definitely could see a move to get back in the 4th.

Other option would be trade a Martavis Bryant and pick up a 4th this year and a player like Devante Parker.
