President Trump rails against Pelosi, Waters and Heitkamp at raucous N. Dakota rally

President Donald Trump spent his campaign rally in North Dakota Wednesday night tearing into Democrats, with blistering attacks on the party's national leaders and the state's vulnerable incumbent, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp.

Trump, who attended the Fargo event to help boost GOP Rep. Kevin Cramer, who is challenging Heitkamp, took aim at the one-term lawmaker every chance he got, coloring each attack with additional assaults on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Rep. Maxine Waters, who over the weekend said member of the Trump administration should be heckled when out in public.

"We need Kevin Cramer to replace liberal Democrat Heidi Headlamp in the Senate. When Heidi ran for office she promised to be independent vote for people of North Dakota, instead she went to Washington and immediately joined Chuck, you know who Chuck is, and Nancy, and now they have a new leader," Trump railed, prompting applause. "Who is their leader? Maxine Waters is their new leader."

"Maxine, she's a beauty," Trump added. "She practically was telling people the other day to assault. Can you imagine if I said the things she said?"

At another point, Trump gleefully pleaded for Democrats to keep Pelosi as their House leader.

"Please, please, please don't remove Nancy Pelosi," he said, "And please keep Maxine Waters on the air as your face and your mouthpiece for the Democratic Party."

President Trump approval rating ticks up to 47 percent

President Trump's approval rating was lifted in part by a 10-point climb among Hispanic voters.

His approval rating rose by 6 points among Republicans and by 4 points among Democrats compared to last month's poll.

The rising numbers appear to reflect the strong economy and the president's summit meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Nearly 200 of America's top political scientists have voted Donald Trump the worst president in US history.

According to the 2018 Presidents & Executive Politics Presidential Greatness Survey, Mr Trump ranks even lower than disgraced President Richard Nixon – even among conservatives. Abraham Lincoln, unsurprisingly, takes the top prize. Mr Nixon sits at 33.

The study, conducted every four years, surveys social science researchers from the American Political Science Association’s section on presidents and executive politics. It asks the experts to rank each president’s greatness on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 being great, 50 being average, and 0 being a total failure.

Mr Trump averaged a score of 12.34, bumping James Buchanan – the president who saw the US descend into the Civil War – out of the bottom spot. The result comes just months after Trump finished his first year in office as the most unpopular president in modern history.

Mr Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, jumped 10 places since the survey was last conducted in 2014, to spot number eight. George W Bush also climbs in the rankings, making it five places up to number 30.

Bill Clinton did not fair was well as the other living presidents, dropping five places down to 14th. Only Andrew Jackson dropped more – down six places – possibly owing to increased attention on how he treated Native Americans.

The top seven presidents remained the exact same, with Abraham Lincoln on top, followed by George Washington, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower.

Mr Trump was accompanied in the bottom five by Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, William Harrison, and Mr Buchanan.

Researchers Brandon Rottinghaus, of the University of Houston, and Justin Vaughn, of Boise State University, said they surveyed 170 political science experts for the study. Of those experts, 57.2 per cent identified as Democrats, 12.7 per cent as Republicans, and 27.1 per cent as independents.

While Republicans and Democrats differed on how they viewed figures like Mr Obama and Mr Bush, they were in fairly close agreement on My Trump: Conservatives voted him 40th out of 45.

The one area where Mr Trump did come out on top was in the “most polarising” section, in which the researchers asked the scientists to list the five presidents they found most divisive. Mr Trump was ranked most polarising by 90 of the 170 respondents, and second-most polarising by another 20.]

Media Fail — Trump’s Approval Rating with Hispanics Jumps 10 Points

In the heart of the media’s hoax-narrative about President Trump’s separation of illegal alien families at the border, Trump’s approval ratings with Hispanics jumped ten points, according to the latest Harvard CAPS/Harris poll.

The “hoax” in the establishment media’s narrative is, of course, the phony outrage over the phony pretense that Trump’s separation policies are any different from those of former President Obama. (They are not.) The media fabricated this narrative out of whole cloth as a way to blot out the fallout over the FBI’s devastating inspector general’s report and the congressional hearings that followed.

Nevertheless, this poll, which was taken immediately after Trump reversed his and Obama’s policy of family separation, shows a ten-point increase in support from Hispanic voters when compared to last month’s poll.

Trump’s overall approval rating is 47 percent, a two-point jump from last month.

Trump also improved his standing among Republicans by six points and Democrats by four points.

Voters overwhelmingly approve of Trump’s handling of North Korea (59 percent), and a whopping three-quarters approve of the president’s summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

If Trump gets this pick through by mid terms I wouldn’t care if he was impeached he would have done enough for this country to have been one of the best in decades. I just would like to see him dump Pence and promote someone like Haley to VP who could win easily in the next election. Pence is just not a good campaigner.
