"Upon further review"... Brown's left foot was in

This pic is out there, as well.

I dunno. I didn't see any white paint coming up with the sod, so I call BS on the overturned call.

That picture is close enough to go either way. All that has to happen for it to be out is touching the white, look at the toes of the left foot, I could live with that one going against us. Also in question is when did he have the ball secured. Just for the record I would not be complaining if it was ruled a touch down either it was really that close in my view. The other thing that I wonder about are the lines in the picture, if you have a good monitor and look closely there are some odd lines in the picture in the area where Brown is and they do not extend above the arms of the defender or above the shoulder pads of Brown.

I am real glad they were able to get the turn over called correctly on the Texans fumble as with out it we might not have won this game.

As much as I hate the faggy pink shoes, they really do highlight the bullshit of this call. I would have been fine with this call if the ruling on the field was an incomplete pass, and we'd lost the challenge. That would have been the right call, because it's too close to change the call in either direction. But as called, no question it's a TD.

And Hollywood Douche Bags is right, Goodell called the stadium to overturn. I'm sure of it.

The lines you are seeing are in the pic itself. This is not a freeze frame from a recorded feed, this is a pic taken from a freeze frame on a TV. The smaller pic above is a split second before the bigger one. They also showed another angle on TV last night where you could clearly see green in between Browns foot and the sideline.

At least it didn't cost us the game!

I have NFL Rewind, I'll post up pics as soon as the stupid system figures out the Monday Night game is over. (Giving "error, you can not view this game till the Monday Night game has ended, come back when the game is over). Odd since it's been over for quite a while, maybe they need to edit some sideline video out before releasing it. Douches.

Agreed.

Meaning the damn call must be CONFIRMED, not overruled.

I hate replay. @$%&ing hate it.
If not for replay we might not have won this game, the fumble recovery by Spence and subsequent score might not have ever happened.
As for close enough to go either way in that photo I can see where someone could interpret it to be touching the white line and out, I can also see the interpretation could be made that he was not touching the line. Key to the position of the feet is at what time did they say he had secured the catch something we do not know from still pictures.
I'm just glad we got a win.

The sad thing is that it wouldn't have been an issue had the ball been delivered on time. Brown had his man beat, but once again the ball was thrown too late and Brown ran out of field.

Well we did benefit from replay too on the fumble. No system is perfect as long as people are part of it.
That's kinda my point if it's far from perfect, and at times serves to reverse the correct call, and other times fails to correct bad calls, why even bother with it? Just a waste of time.

Every sporting league has one thing in common - the fans all cry about how bad the refs are.

There is no point in stating they need irrefutable evidence in the rule, and still changing calls on the field without it. Had they called him out of bounds, and left it I wouldn't have had an issue with it for the same reason. There was nothing solid enough to overrule it.

this is the kind of thinking that drives me INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE. If the pic above that clearly shows his feet in bounds is available on a free website.....then HOW IN THE **** do the officials of a multi billion dollar enterprise not have the same technology? How? how? how? why? why? why?

They have spent all the money making sure to shave the points, otherwise it may be a fair ball game. Can't afford 35mm camera or film.

Billicheat said he'd provide the crew to film, as long as the league provided the equipment. Said something about not spending his money anymore on wasted meaningless film.

Simple as just taking a frame, freezing it, then declaring its valid proof. A picture is just that exact moment in time were as video, give pre and post action of the event. He was out, like it or not.

Coaches film is not out yet, but in game footage is, and below are frame 1, 2, and 3, you could argue his foot isn't all the way down in frame 1, but in frame 2, there is no way in hell that foot isn't on the ground, and there is green between the toe and the sideline, in frame three the foot is ALL the way down, as the other foot is coming up, and you could STILL argue he's in, but by then it's moot, you just need to tap the foot down, which he clearly does in two, it sliding out does not make him out any more than dragging a toe and sliding it out makes a wr out.

The bottom line is if we can even still be arguing this, it shouldn't have been overturned. He may have been in, he may have been out, but there is no incontrovertible evidence for sure.

Why not do away with it all together. When stuff like this happens, what is instant replay accomplishing?

It was meant to remove obvious, aggrievious errors. Vinnie Testaverde's helmet being mistaken for the ball in the end zone, A knee clearly down that wasnt called, A clear fumble that was missed. We are using it to try to catch the minute blades of grass on the sideline.... thats just silly. Replay has great advantages when used correctly. Have a dedicated replay official who makes the call from a remote location. Refs at the game are still too worried about how it looks on them when two close calls go the same teams way and such nonsense.

Based on the pics by t-man, there is no way you can say he was out.
