Marquise Brown...hmmmmm???

Look I don't want to take that risk either, and he has similar measurables to Dri and Tavon which is worrisome. But I definitely don't like the idea of judging a person's character based on a bad apple in the family. I'm sure everyone here wouldn't want to be lumped in or pre judged by having let's say a low life drug addicted cousin, and people hold their character over how they see you. This kid is an individual with his own life and experience, having a douche of a blood relative does not equal similar character so I'm going to let his behavior determine what type of man he'll be not Mr Only Care About Money and Stats.

Also, Hollywood is only his nickname due to his upbringing in Hollywood Florida, not because he sees himself as some star or flashy. That attack needs to be dispelled, because I'm sick of seeing the glaring misrepresentation. I still stand by that I don't want to draft him, but I don't like judging people based on a group or family, I prefer judging them by their own actions.

All well spoken Ianv. It’s not about MB. Not at all. He’s probably a good kid and has had a stable upbringing. The problem is he wouldn’t bring drama, but his cousin would. Because the team and players themselves would be consistently asked about by the media something related to AB because that’s what they do.

No disrespect to MB, but his cousin has allowed his own drama to be laid at the doorstep of MBs professional career. He should try to distance himself completely from the rather large shadow Antonio has made for himself. Be his own person...work to be recognized professionally entirely separate from cousin. If he’s good enough, he won’t need AB to show his talents.

Kind of feel bad for the kid, knowing how the media is....

I agree completely, my concern only applied in how people were judging through the lens of AB as a person. I still wouldn't draft him 1- because of all that you described and 2- his build is big concern, I'm a 1/4 of in shorter and weigh 10lbs more than him. Granted I don't have his speed and athleticism, but I'd get killed against NFL players so that also is a reason I wouldn't draft him. None of it regards his actual character though

He could come in, play well, and cause no problems at all, and the media would still play it up as a storyline that will ultimately cause a distraction or two. So, no. Too many other worthwhile WRs in the draft without baiting the media.

His LisFranc injury makes him a risky first round pick for any team, wouldn't be surprised to see him slip to the 2nd. I think the Steelers stay clear at 20 where there should be safer picks available at positions of need.
