Tunch and Wolf on in the locker room

Well it sounded like somebody had had enough, and it wasn't Cool Shades.

You'd think that would be immediate grounds for a fine, and then a suspension if things didn't change.

I do remember him getting benched in 2013 I believe it was when we played in London vs Minnesota I think it was, he was benched for the 4th quarter for running the wrong route.

He was benched the last game of the season last year. Left the team at halftime, and never contacted anyone directly since.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't, regardless of how people remember the facts...

He was benched the last game of the season last year.

After the blow-up with Ben on Weds, the missed practice on Thurs, the "he's getting his knee looked at" from Tomlin as to why he was absent on Fri and then him being a no-show through the weekend, yeah, they finally benched him. If this was going on prior to that (which it sounds like it absolutely was) and he wasn't disciplined, then there's something wrong with that IMO. Questioning why he was't disciplined doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

According to several sources, Brown showed up at Heinz Field expecting to play against the Bengals. That surprised several players, including one who called the situation “embarrassing” and “the worst I’ve seen.” That player said the entire situation and the way it was handled affected his desire to play in the game.

How was little dick allowed to run the wrong routes without being diciplined for it?
Last year he had 15 TDs. All that DESPITE the fact that he pretty much just ran 1/2 his routes. If he shapes up in Oakland, at least they'll have an absolute top-tier receiver. I can't say that Carr will get him the ball where he likes it, when he likes it, but assuming Brown will put on his best fact at least starting out, the Raiders are going to have a very good receiver.

Now... after a few games and perhaps a few losses... Brown may be more likely to start freelancing. And if things devolve. Popcorn!

Yep.

Mikey Sunglasses let that **** go way to long and get way to long.

Yeah and he also caused a lot of INT's here and incompletions. How many of those 15 TD's were from Ben being able to hold the ball longer than needed?

Maybe the Ben of 10 years ago. The Ben now rarely leave the pocket unless need be. And AB breaking off a route because Ben was flushed out of the pocket is something entirely different than AB just changing his route on the fly.

Not sure how we can 'prove' this???

Yep. Ben is not Superman. Dumb routes by AB or not - #7 led the league in INT's last season. Apparently, that's Coach Tomlin's fault...
Int % was mid pack, Tomlin could tell them to run the ball more.
Had to satisfy ABs ego though.

I saw the other day that he had more int's, which sounds bad. But, like you did, when you consider how many passes he threw, the % int's isn't as bad as the raw number looks.

You know one thing I keep hearing from almost every guy in that locker room is that the locker room has chemistry, guys are getting along, it feels like a family atmosphere etc. Somebody or a few were definitely sowing division in that locker room. Whether it was Joey Porter or AB, seems like it was getting pretty out of control.

I think even Martavus Bryant contributed to the array. ONE thing for sure is this year's headlines have been very pleasant actually looked forward to. Can't say enough about that.

Gruden won't put up with insolence. Cool Fraud obviously did. For all his bluster, he sure isn't very firm.

Ward was a better team guy, better competitor and won championships. AB was the best Steelers receiver I've ever seen and probably the most gifted player of his era. He made some of the most mind boggling plays ever. You can **** on him for his ****** attitude, but for the way he saw the field and the way he played. Pretty tough. Sure fire HOF.

I've been threatened with a ban for what I've said about him. I think the team could gel more with him gone, but it is pretty hard to picture anyone replacing his production (even as a group) and impossible to replace the matchup issues. The team will have to revamp their offensive philosophy to be successful. But to be honest in my mind, what they were doing wasn't working in terms of winning big games anyhow.

If I had one game to win, I'm taking Ward in that game any day over AB. I know I'm going to get max effort on every play, run or pass, and a guy that cares about winning more than stats. Let's see how good AB is when he doesn't have Ben throwing him the ball.

If he had to stop playing football today, I'm not sure he's a sure fire HOF'er yet.

I agree. I'd always want a guy like Ward to WIN games over a guy like AB. I disagree about HOF. Sure if he was injured tomorrow, but even if he has a Randy Moss tour of Oakland he comes up close to 15K receiving yards. He is in.

Yep. I'd a take Ward over AB also.

Ward had his moments as well but I'd take him over AB any day. Ward cared about winning, something AB only desired if his personal stats were achieved in doing so.

I hear you SW, but AB has to do something to get barred from a game. He wasn't kicked out of the game for skipping practice. He lied to the coaching staff. He said he skipped practice because his knee was injured. Tomlin set up an MRI for Friday. AB was a no show for the MRI and was not reachable that day. AB then didn't show up for the Saturday walkthrough, and was not reachable that day. Rosenhaus called Tomlin Sunday morning (not AB) to say his client can play. Tomlin said that ship has sailed but AB needs to show for the game. Tomlin made the choice to bench a star due to a direct lie about his knee and told him to his face man to man. AB couldn't handle the dicipline, and instead of taking responsiblity for his lying, he chose to make it about Ben. Then what did he do? He refused all direct team communication and got a trade out of town.
