The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

My favorite quote from those war stories was - "They've got us surrounded again. The poor ********."

THAT is America!

I've been gone all day. All day. I fully expected Tibs to be a decent human being...today.

NOPE.

Jack *** played full jack *** all day it appears.

Carry on Comrade.

I'm with you in spirit and agree we should honor the military and their service to the country, But it seems you have your national holidays mixed up. The 4th of July is supposed to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States as a nation. It’s not a military holiday. That’s why we have Memorial Day and Veterans Day. That's why it's more than a little strange to see the draft-dodger, aka Donald 'Bone Spurs' throw a military parade in his own honor.

you're right. we should only honor our veterans on those two days out of the entire year. Instead of acknowledging that without our military, we'd not be the great nation we are now, and that without our military, our great nation would not be capable of defending freedom around the globe as we do now. Yeah, you're right Tibs. **** the military. They have two days where we can acknowledge our appreciation of them. The other 363 days, pure vile scum. Just as how they're treated in Bernie's VA.

**** you and **** off.

The outrage was all for naught, the frothing at the mouth, hysterical Dems were made to look like complete fools! LOL

Trump made his critics look small during his ‘Salute to America’

Of all the stupid freak-outs we have experienced since Trump was elected, the hyperventilation over his Fourth of July address and celebration on the Mall may be the stupidest.

His critics called his decision to insert himself into the Independence Day celebrations virtually unprecedented. Sorry, but Trump is not the first U.S. president to give a major speech on the Fourth of July. Harry S. Truman once delivered an Independence Day address in front of the Washington monument. Presidents Woodrow Wilson, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush all gave Fourth of July addresses from Independence Hall in Philadelphia. And, in 1986, Ronald Reagan delivered a Fourth of July address from the deck of an aircraft carrier, the USS John F. Kennedy, strategically placed in front of the Statue of Liberty.

Trump’s address took this tradition to new heights. Democrats complained before the speech that Trump was politicizing the Fourth of July. He did nothing of the sort.

In a speech reminiscent of his outstanding remarks last month at Normandy, Trump delivered a soaring presidential address — a celebration of the greatness of our country. “As we gather this evening, in the joy of freedom, we remember that we all share a truly extraordinary heritage,” Trump said. “Together, we are part of one of the greatest stories ever told — the story of America.”

Millions of ordinary Americans who tuned in to watch must have been wondering what the fuss was all about. Democrats promised they would witness a partisan address. But instead, they saw the president deliver a deeply unifying speech that celebrated America’s accomplishments, and the courage of our men and women in uniform.

With each passing minute, the president looked larger while his critics looked increasingly petty and small.

From what little coverage I saw from the MSM, even the rain in the area didn't prevent the folks from showing up.

And because it when off well, I doubt we'll hear anything more about it.

Without our military we are not celebrating anything, and the rights and freedoms enjoyed likely don’t exist.

I enjoyed watching the festivities and the flyovers. My brother's a pilot, has flown all over the States in his twin engine Piper, reminded me of the many airshows we went to as kids. Loved seeing the various military aircraft.

Trump was remarkably reserved, it was a tepid affair. Was nice to see him refrain from his persona displayed at his bat **** crazy pep rallies. He seemed scared stiff, his advisors must have convinced him to stick to the script and not turn it into a campaign event, as in that case he would have had to foot the bill.

Nice crowd turnout as well, people showed up in masses, the bad weather notwithstanding.

I enjoyed the tribute to the Coast Guard, Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines, going back through history and detailing the important battles. Given that we sponsor the Marine Ball with the US embassy here in Budapest, as we have for over a decade, I too enjoy the military decorum, marching bands and performances.

Congrats to Trump for organizing a nice tribute to our armed forces. Hopefully, everyone around the country had a safe and happy 4th of July.

As for my earlier post, I was simply pointing out Independence Day has not been traditionally an official military holiday, more of a family event with town parades and fireworks. Seeing Trump did a classy job with it, it was perfectly fine like this. My concern was him using the military as props in a rah rah campaign event. As it turns out, that was not the case, kudos to him for that.

The only people excepting some tyrannical political propaganda yesterday were the hysterical leftists. Everyone else knew what it was going to be. Trump knows when to turn on and off the political speeches. Just like on the D Day speech. See? Take a step back and a deep breath. All the hysteria is not necessary, it ain't the end of the world every day like you guys are told.

Everyone else knew what it was going to be.

Given this was the first - and only? - speech by Trump that didn't go off the rails, not sure how 'everyone' was expecting this, but sure, I'll take your word for it.

So you've already forgotten about the D Day speech that he JUST gave.....that even the hate filled left wing media had to grudgingly admit was respectful and good? Oh how short our memory is!

You are correct. So this was the 2nd time he's shown some class and restraint vs. the 10,000 flying-off-the-handle speeches he's given over the past two and a half years. My bad.

Seriously? Ummmmm no. Do I really have to go back and point out ever freaking time he talked respectfully in a speech. Come on Tibs', you're being silly now. Please don't make me go back and look through speeches. I really don't have the will or the energy. You're playing games now.

It's funny when you think about it. All leading up to and shortly after Trump's election, the left was hysterical that Trump was a maniacal war monger with his finger on the red button just looking for any excuse to nuke the rest of the world in to oblivion. After it became obvious that he was going to take a diplomatic approach even towards brutal dictators in an effort to de-escalate nuclear tensions and and try to work some deals that benefit America, now he's a lackey of everyone and too soft. So which is it? Do you people want him to hit the ******* red button and end it all for everyone or do you want him to try diplomacy? Ya can't have it both ways. Acting like you do just makes you seem not authentic and just looking to ***** about Trump. Not you specifically but the entire hysterical left and their media stooges.

It was especially important for the kiddies to learn about how airplanes and the takeover of airports were keys to us winning the Revolutionary war.
I have to admit, my history teachers must have been slack, since they never taught me about that.

Yeah he flubbed that. Just like many before him. 57 States. Bushisms.

Yeah he made a mistake, like they all do. If that's your key takeaway from yesterday with everything that happened that day, you must be one miserable *******.

Most importantly, we got to - yet again - gawk at the First Lady's nipples. Really, does anything else matter? I'll post it as a public service, so you guys don't have to spend days on end trying to figure it out. ;)

Real cool for a family holiday like the 4th. I'm sure the kids - and the Evangelicals - loved it. And yeah, I know it was raining you brainiacs, still an odd choice for a First Lady, to go bra-less in a see-through white dress on a rainy National Holiday. But we know Melania loves exposing herself for the world to see. Screw decorum, who needs that ****....Nipples!!!

No signs of the economy slowing down: "Hiring rebounds as U.S. economy adds 224,000 jobs in June (projected 162,000); unemployment rate at 3.7 percent"

since the D-Day event and the celebration of the 4th are not political events...of course he would not do his typical political type speeches

Sure. But out of respect to the Trump base who immediately jump on the slightest mistake by anyone not named Trump, I present the Revolutionary War Airport Stories. Really stirred people's imagination, lol.
