Dobbs is fine when he isn’t forcing things.. as he has been all preseason trying to keep up with the more talented Rudolph...

Hodges is a fine development guy... its very believable that we will stash him on the ps and cut or trade dobbs

Well if we opt to go the PS route, remember he has to want to sign here... and if anyone claims him off of waivers they have to keep him on their active roster... if he ends up on another practice squad it is his choice

Just heard that the Pats played Edelman tonight who was recovering from a hand injury, well he fell on said hand and left the game.

Is it Berryman's 1.2 yard less avg or 5.2 yard less net avg that tells you he soundly outpointed berry?

Maybe the fact Berryman pins the opponents deep inside the 5 instead of berry's penchant for having most of his inside the 20 kicks being fair caught between the 15 and 19 yard line over and over again. Simply watching the game shows who has both the much stronger leg and the ability to pin opponents deep. We have had years of berry's mediocrity but then again nuance doesn't seem to be your strong point but thanks for playing. By the way the missile Berryman hit in game one that went 62 yards and a foot into the end zone, if that stopped at the 1 Berryman is way ahead on net average. The sample size is too small to just be based on stats, tonight was a huge won for Berryman and hopefully even Tomlin can see the trees for the forest. he is known to be a little dense and favors mediocre veterans over and over.

By the way it was a mistake to cut Wile for berry last year, I see you conveniently didn;t post their stats from last year, wonder why that would be ?

Because you didn't mention Wile? If you look back to last year, i discussed Wile quite a bit.

I don't recall the exact stats, but i don't think either average was a great deal higher, but it could have been. I believe it was something within 5 yards.

I even went through an analysis of every single Wile punt to show there were none or very few within the 50 yard line, so he could boot every one as hard as he wanted.

IF the 62 yarder hadn't gone into the endzone, rainbows might have sprung up. But it didn't and they didn't. 62 yarder brought back to the 20 is a 42 yard net.

However, when someone says "solidly outkicked" i was, at least, expecting a higher average even if the net wasn't.

I said for the 2nd straight year Berry has been out kicked so yes that includes Wile who was the only punter on the team other than Berry last year.

A 42 yard net is also better than Berry has averaged in any season speaking of rainbows. Berry has never had 2 kicks that died inside the 5 like Berryman did last night and that was his supposed weakness because his leg is considerably stronger than Barry's average leg. Berryman won the job last night.
 
Was really a bad preseason game , only a few players stood out for the lack luster game for both teams. Glad it was over and the season gets started.
