Navy quietly ends climate change task force, reversing Obama initiative
“I believe that there’s a change in weather, and I think it changes both ways,” Trump said in a June 2019 interview on “Good Morning Britain.”
“Don’t forget it used to be called global warming. That wasn’t working. Then it was called climate change. Now it’s actually called extreme weather, because with extreme weather, you can’t miss.”
Trump’s remarks arrived two years after he announced the United States’ withdrawal from the Paris accord to battle climate change by preventing a 2 degrees Celsius rise in global temperature above pre-industrial levels.
The president said that U.S. participation would “undermine our economy" and leave the nation "at a permanent disadvantage.”

The in-depth, comprehensive poll from The Economist and YouGov, taken between September 1-3, showed 43% of respondents with a favorable response to Trump; 29% had a "very favorable" reaction and an additional 14% had a "somewhat favorable" response.
Among the three leading Democrats, only 40% had a favorable reaction to Biden, with a paltry 17% of respondents having a "very favorable" reaction and an additional 23% with a "somewhat favorable" reaction.
Warren got a total of 39% of respondents giving her a favorable reaction, 20% of whom had a "very favorable: reaction and 19% with a "somewhat favorable" reaction. Sanders got the most favorable reaction of the three top candidates as he barely edged out Biden with 41% of respondents having a favorable reaction, but he still ranked 2% behind Trump. 18% of voters gave Sanders a "very favorable" rating while 23% gave him a "somewhat favorable" response.

Don't think so. Bolton is an absolute hawk on the Middle East, wants a forever war, would never suggest meeting with the Taliban or engaging in any peace talks.
was Trump meeting with The Taliban or The Taliban that Obama assured us was fighting for peace, love and a global climate initiative?
Someone, I don't know who, suggested meeting the Taliban at freaking Camp David to reach a peace agreement. Trump shot it down.

Trump wants out of Afghanistan badly.
Honestly, I can't blame him. What else can we accomplish? No one in that country gets along. No matter how much we prop up the central government, they can't even come close to controlling the Taliban and warlords in the northern/western part of the country. The whole economy in half the country is based on illegal poppy farms. There are tribes that go back 500 years and will never listen to some government telling them what to do from Khabal.
If they want to be a backward, sexist, radical, sharia ruled, agrarian goat herders how can we possibly change their minds? They don't believe in our constitution (that works). They (and Iraq did this too) consistently want to base their constitution on majority rule and Islamic law.
We have fought for their population for 15 years. We have given them (just like Iraqi citizens) every opportunity to form a Constitutional Republic and a Bill of Rights that protects the minority (be it religious minority, women, gays, etc.) and they turned it down. The people don't want it.
