Actually... it sounds like Trump who pushed for the meeting between Taliban and Afghan leadership, and shot it down when the Taliban claimed responsibility for an attack that killed a US Soldier.

If they want to be a backward, sexist, radical, sharia ruled, agrarian goat herders how can we possibly change their minds? They don't believe in our constitution (that works). They (and Iraq did this too) consistently want to base their constitution on majority rule and Islamic law.

We have fought for their population for 15 years. We have given them (just like Iraqi citizens) every opportunity to form a Constitutional Republic and a Bill of Rights that protects the minority (be it religious minority, women, gays, etc.) and they turned it down. The people don't want it.

The Rooskies aren't nearly as nice as we are and if they couldn't beat Afghanistan after 15 years, I don't think we can.

He's not the only one that wants out. There is no reason to be there. I'm sick of losing our men in these stupid foreign wars. Everyone is worried Russia is going to take over everything if we leave. Let them have it. Didn't work out well last time they tried. I'm tired of fighting these stupid wars for no reason. Afghanistan is a mix of tribes and enclaves. They don't even know they are in Afghanistan. It's a local territorial tribal nation. Just leave.

After he agreed to it, and they committed <gasp> another terrorist attack., he finally cancelled it. Agreeing to it was a mistake and trump is the one who made it.
 
The meeting should have been set for Turkey, so that American assets could take out the plane near Syria on the return.

All the news outlets is about “trump” failed this agreement, NO. They ******* bombed the **** out of place and killed how many the day of.
 
It be like you and your wife having problems, going to the marriage counseling and you nail the lady on the desk in front of her.
 
This recession talk is ironic. It is the Dems last hope to beat Trump so they keep putting it out there as if it's a real threat under Trump. The problem is GDP has shown great growth under Trump. To have a recession, the GDP would have to actually decrease two quarters in a row. To go from 2-3% growth to decreasing GDP in a few quarters, you'd need an event along the lines of 911 - or a socialist winning the election.
 
America should just leave Afghanistan. **** any agreement with the turban crowd. They lie for a hobby. They would break any agreement within 24 hours. But before leaving, have the Chair Force unleash about 1,000 bombs on the Taliban's headquarters and training grounds, napalm their poppy fields, napalm their heroin production facilities, and seek to cripple their ability to fund **** outside of that freezing, arid, rancid desert they call a country.

President Donald Trump’s campaign is set to spring for a giant anti-socialism banner along with a plane to fly it over Houston, just before Thursday night’s Democratic debate.

The banner and flight will reportedly cost around $7,500 and it will fly from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., just an hour before the start of the debate.

The banner will read, “Socialism Will Kill Houston’s Economy” above a plea to “Vote Trump 2020,” according to a rendition provided to ABC News by the Trump campaign.

“Every single Democrat candidate has job killing, economy crushing policies that won’t work for America. Team Trump is here to remind them and let everyone in Houston know what a complete disaster Democrats are for America,” deputy communications director Erin Perrine told the network in a Wednesday statement.

Arizona Democrats are moving to censure Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) because she is, according to the party, voting too much in alignment with Republican President Donald Trump.

A censure vote will be held on Sept. 21 at the party’s quarterly meeting in Prescott.

The resolution the party will vote on cites Sinema voting for the confirmation of Attorney General William Barr, voting against net neutrality, and voting to confirm David Bernhardt as Secretary of the Interior.

“Therefore, be it resolved that the Arizona Democratic Party censures Senator Kyrsten Sinema for failing to support the tenets of the 2016 Democratic Party Platform,” the resolution states. It also says that if it’s approved, the resolution will be spread to the media. The resolution was signed by the Progressive Caucus of the state Democratic party.
