Ben to IR, out for season

Statement by Mike Tomlin on Ben Roethlisberger:
Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI on his right elbow Sunday evening and it was determined by the Steelers’ medical team that surgery will be required. We expect the surgery will be scheduled for this week. He will be placed on our Reserve/Injured List and is out for the season.

Can't believe it, this sucks. Sucks for us and sucks for Ben. The season held so much promise just a few weeks ago. Damn, pour one out for Big Ben. Who knows if he'll ever play again. I doubt it.

As for the Steelers, they have to circle the wagons and begin finding a way to win football games.

We've feared this for a long time now. Rudolph played better yesterday than Landry Jones ever did. If this is the start of the Rudolph era, THANK YOU BEN. Damn this breaks my heart to see him go down this way.

He should of been pulled immediately when he started grabbing his elbow. Look at the game thread. I said it then. Get Ben out of the game. Yet they continued to play him.

If it further damaged his elbow, there is absolutely no excuse, heads should roll.
