Florida and Georgia should be about ready to explode with new cases if the models and media are to believed. It will be enlightening in the next week or so to observe what happens there.
For the sake of our country let's hope it's a big fizzle. So tired of this virus being a political ping pong game.
New cases are exploding because more testing is being done more than ever before. What it really means is the death rate is even lower than before, or even more microscopic.
Tibs has his lucid moments, so I actually welcome his presence.

On the Steelers board maybe, but I've observed his 'civil' conversations with SteelerInLebanon (for example) and there always seems to be an undertone of 'well, with all due respect, you're a crazy, misguided Trump-goon'.
He's said it quite clearly before, anybody that votes for Trump is the enemy of his dream for the United States of America. It couldn't be more nuanced than that, like perhaps he (Trump) is the much lesser of two evils and we don't want to see Socialism ravage this country.

You have to give it to Elfrona, ze can take a beating like very few can. In fact, the more beatings ze takes, the more ze seems to come back for more (until sanity is restored and ze's put back in the rubber room full-time).
Bingo. None of the early opening states (Florida/Georgia) has seen any spike in infections or rates. Sweden, that did very little besides recommending limiting large gatherings, is only projected to have around 5500 deaths out of 10 million people. They also appear to be on the downside of the curve in both infections and deaths. There is little scientific evidence that keeping the country locked down is going to have any type of dramatic results over the virus. There is a plethora of evidence that keeping things shut down is going to continue to decimate the US and global economy even further.

PA now ordering nursing homes to accept COVID positive patients similar to the disaster in NY. The transgender Secretary of Health Rachel Levine then took her mother out of a nursing home and moved her to a hotel. The rules are for you peons, not your aristocracy.

Sweden currently has 3,314 deaths attributed to Corona, with another 351 currently deemed "critical." Their death toll will probably not reach 4,000.

I've heard that too. The local radio guys said that Indiana had a record number positive test results. My point was that it's only due to the increase in tests. It proves that many, many more people had kung flu than were first reported with limited testing, resulting in a much lower death percentage.

As long as politics aren't discussed whatsoever, I'm with you.
The funny thing with Indiana is that they report new deaths or cases, and if you go look at the dates, many of those new cases are actually from 30-45 days ago. The reporting by the ISDH is so misleading it is not even funny.
