The Coronavirus thread

Now, I can see if the city wants to make her close for a while in order to make a point, but when they threaten to revoke her license, that's some serious bullshit. That literally puts her permanently out of business. If her license is revoked it will take a minimum of 3 months and more likely 6 months to get a new license and there is no way in hell she can survive being closed for an additional 3 to 6 months.

I have wondered for years why so many places need ******* licenses to run. **** the government - if I want to build a brewery, I am not going to burn it down or kill my customers. Jesus, what ******* business would have that as a business model??

So maybe businesses should start asking, "Why do I need a license to sell food, or make beer, or cut hair, or give a manicure, or sell groceries, or sell beer, or sell jewelry, or sell anything for **** sake?" The licensing bullshit is nothing more than a money-raising scam, having nothing to do - NO-*******-THING - with "safety."

We have simply stood by while our liberty is scraped away, layer-by-layer, right-by-right, until we can't do anything without government permission and without government fees (bribes).

Today is my boob smash appt. ...I’m like...it’s my damn boobs! It’s already hard enough to breathe without the mask on as you contort your body into positions no human should do while having your girls smashed between two pieces of metal.

You know when Ogre reads this he's going to go absolutely crazy right?

Steeltime, because beer is a "controlled substance" you need to go through 3 layers of licensing to get in to business.

First you must submit to your city your plans. Zoning, placement of your business and physical layout of your planned brewery must be submitted to the city.
You must also submit to your state. They provide the license for your to manufacture beer and you have to meet their guidelines.
Finally you must submit to the federal government, as your product will be taxed and the production must be monitored and approved.

Then it gets frustrating.

Local government will not approve until the state has signed off.
State government will not approve until federal govt. has signed off.
Federal government will not approve until local AND state have provided approval.

Seriously.

Your city has to say, Yep, we're good, but we won't approve and that has to be sent to the state.
Your state has to look at the city's approved non-approval and say, Yep, we're good but we won't approve and that has to be sent to the feds.
The feds look at the states approved non approval and if all ducks are in a row from the city on up, they will eventually say, We're good pending approvals.

Then it filters BACK down the food chain.

The state looks at the feds and the previous city and says! OK.
The city looks at the fed and the state and says OK
The feds look at final approved city/state licenses and they finally say OK.

THEN you have a license. But if you can get all that done in less than 4 to 6 months you're a frickin' bureaucratic savant.

(Note, at any point in the process if one of the layers has an issue or needs something changed in your application you have to re-submit all of it through all three layers.)

So if your worried about your business then wear a mask. i don't see how it is against the law to have employees wear a mask. Several jobs require people to have protection.

Then pass a law. You know, like the OSHA regulations (laws, based on delegated authority from Congress ... don't get me started on how unconstitutional that scheme is) that require breathing protection for certain occupations.

Wig, oh I get that the regulations are overwhelming, I am not disputing that.

What I am saying is, "Why the **** do we have such requirements? WHY??" It has nothing to do with safety. It is instead a power grab by the non-producers (government) to control business, grab money, and earn a nice check for doing literally no good to society.

You as a business owner do not know the medical condition of any of your employees, in addition, legally thanks to HIPPA you are not allowed to ask and they are not required to tell you. There are several groups of people that are recommended not to wear a mask, those with asthma, those with COPD, those with mental or psychological issues...etc. The same reason you will not see an actual law mandating the wearing of a mask. Not to mention, nobody can find a single scientific or medical study showing that wearing cotton fabric over your mouth or nose has any evidence of preventing the spread of the virus. I read a medical journal study out of Germany that said depending on the composition of the mask, certain fabrics will increase the aerosolization of the particulate by essentially screening it as it goes thru the fabric. If that is accurate, congratulations, the mask now makes the target range even greater.

oh, ****, Flog! now what will you do?

They can do away with booth seating all together as far as I am concerned. They are uncomfortable, you cannot move your seat up or back, and there is nothing worse than feeling your seat move every time the person on the other side of the booth moves.

obviously never finger banged in a bar

Anyway, She'd been open a couple days and it seems a "Karen" reported the brewery to the local establishment. Since this woman has made a few "This is bullshit" posts (Keep in mind, her business and her entire livelihood was shut down for 2 months and believe me, brewery margins are tight as ****.) So yesterday the PoPo showed up and served her papers saying that if she and her staff weren't in compliance by Friday they would shut her down AND revoke her license.

This is changing and I'm sadly a part of it. The "new normal" (so sick of that phrase). For the past month at my company, I have been knee-deep in helping develop "back to work" technology to help with social distancing, face mask detection, no-go zone monitoring and elevated temperature monitoring. We can't say "fever" monitoring because someone could be entering a facility and just worked out, or were sunbathing...whatever.

I have 3 companies that we are delivering proposals to right now. One, you all eat their food. The other, you all have shopped with. Each is for the temperature monitoring. They are procuring FLIR cameras that will detect your body temperature as you pass through a gate of some sort. If they detect high temps, alarms and notifications will kick off, and business rules will kick in, like pull the employee to the side, send them home, create a work order, launches a cleaning crew, clean the station said person went through. They can't tell them they have a fever, but they can deny entry.

We have also developed apps like employee symptoms monitoring. Some companies are preparing to have their employees be mandated, twice a day, to self log any and all symptoms into the app as a means of "keeping everyone safe."

Scary ****. HIPPA as we knew it will be gone and some new less personal flavor will arise..."in the name of public safety", the new mantra to get us all to roll over and give away our freedoms.

Say. The. ****. What????

and its obvious there's a bitter war between the vodka and vicodin for control of her brain. they both just shine through, though I'm unsure what makes her so ******* shiny.

LMAO. Just read that gyms will open back up on Monday. No classes will be offered, and locker rooms are CLOSED to keep everyone “safe.” Seriously.

Yet one of the most contaminated things a person can touch is the handle of a dumbbell or the handles on a lat machine, etc.

How's the meme go....a Home Depot person can see 300 customers a day, but it's too dangerous for a hair salon to be open.

We have been had.

Where? Not mine

Kansas. The governor decided to keep all bars closed through the end of May. They too were supposed to open up on Monday. IDK what changed the governor’s mind on that.
