It's all good. You're going to.find that people are getting really sick about worrying about getting sick and saying **** it. The younger crowd for sure.

Like I've been saying, this thing has to run its course. Nothing is changing that now. If China would have went into lockdown and banned flights out of that infected shithole then we'd be talking about other things and not this crap.

Those ******** have become proficient at infecting the world with their little viruses that keep popping up left and right.

Yup. I've been screaming about China for over 2 decades now. During the 90's and early 2000s people would always correlate China with what people said about Japan in the 70's and 80's. But China is a different animal entirely. The U.S. should have almost no business dealings with China at all. I'd have a totally different policy about China and it's satellites countries. China is never going to be a fair trade partner. They are thieves of intellectual property and can manipulate their currency any time they need an advantage. They intentionally target U.S. based systems and hack into our servers. If I were president China would be treated much differently than they are now.

While I believe she thinks that, that was not real. It is bad when they do this **** to the right it is also bad when fake shot is used against the left. There is so much bullshit fake news around on both sides it becomes almost impossible to find the real truth anymore.

After what they have done to the president for his entire presidency, I have no issues pulling stunts on them.

We have played nice for far too long. Besides they have tons of legit crap they could roast them with. Most of them don't have the balls to do anything.
 
I overheard 2 uber libs talking at a coffee shop yesterday. They both were elitist in their mask-wearing comments, which was annoying enough. Then the one lady said her sister is a nurse in the maternity ward at a Portland hospital. She said her sister has to wear a mask now and that the babies are NOT responding. They won’t make eye contact with any nurses and cry at the sight of the masks. (I had been saying from the beginning of this whole thing that childhood development is going to take a major hit). The other “enlightened elitist” lady was SHOCKED that wearing a mask could have such a negative impact on a child. She said “Well maybe the other side was right when they said wearing a mask isn’t always appropriate.”

95% of typical airborne particles and we're talking about particles caused from industry (asbestos etc.). Industry is what prompted the creation of N95 masks. I read that the typical size of a Coronavirus particle is 120 nm which is quite small and the reason I mentioned I read somewhere that it may block 70 to 80%, but I can't find that article, so again, don't quote me on that.

You didn't make it sound obvious that virologists wore significantly better safety equipment in your original post, that's the reason I addressed it. And I'm not going to speak for Stoney, but I wouldn't say he was a medical professional if he wasn't.

But if you think wearing a mask is going to significantly reduce the spread of this virus (with improper masks mainly being used, the way people touch their faces adjusting the mask or not wearing it properly at all), you're sorely mistaken.

That's an odd thing to say considering newborn babies can't focus well past very short distances, and don't generally start to make eye contact until 6-8 weeks. In any case parents would not be wearing masks 24/7, I doubt babies seeing their parents wearing one at the grocery store now and then would have much of a detrimental effect on them. My daughters were in the NICU for months and saw plenty of people in masks and I don't recall them ever reacting to it at all

Droplets from your nose and mouth are typical size airborne particles. The virus travels in those droplets, not on its own.
 
I think that it is ignorant to say masks do not help. Would you want a surgeon and his crew operating on your w/o a mask? If you have a mask and the person near you has a mask it will block most of it. It is really not that hard of a concept. The less that gets through the better chance you have at fighting it off. Masks are just a piece of the puzzle though along w/ proper hygiene in general. Alot of people are just saying wash your hands. What good is that going to do if someone coughs in your face or near you and you breathe it in? Of course nothing is fool proof look at all the precautions Drs and what not took when Ebola was big and several of them still contacted it, but the bottom line is masks and other precautions at least help in preventing the spread.

Maybe, but my daughter locked eyes with mine shortly after she was born while I gave her her first bottle.

Pediatricians don’t want children under middle school age wearing masks. Kids with special needs of any age should not wear masks, and that’s the same for adults with special needs. As for babies not making eye contact- I I have no reason to discount what she said. I’ve also seen that first hand our in public with babies and masks. Just because a baby can’t “focus” doesn’t mean he can’t see and can’t be scared.

Not sure if this was directed at me, but I never said masks can't help some. Just wear the right ones, wear them properly, and wear them in the proper places (indoors, crowded areas). I've been saying this all along. But I'm not a fan of government overreach on something like mask-wearing when they have been so wishy-washy on the subject themselves (and because of so many other factors).

And for a virus that in the end may have have a less than 1% mortality rate. Inform & encourage, don't say you're going to jail if you don't wear a piece of cloth over your face. For lack of a better way to put it, there are so many moving parts to this and who gets to say where you can and can't wear one etc.? Are they going to start throwing people in jail if they don't have a hand sanitizer on them or don't wash their hands?
