The Coronavirus thread

Seriously. **** colleges and their greed right now, worse than banks. **** was overpriced to begin with now, ....**** your going to see endless kids not going this route and, maybe, better for them to go in a trade with little to no debt. Let them crumble.

So full disclosure. We learned last night my 21 year old has it - a rapid, less accurate test. But he is sick with bad cold-like symptoms. And like most college students, he's here at home in my house. He went into immediate quarantine in his room.

Tim, your son has a better chance of surviving this than if he were to drive back to college, of a car crash. Thank God he is home safe, and not in a car..

Hopefully with Trump finally turning the corner on wearing masks, we'll see much less of this type of pure insanity. It's highly likely I'll be accused of being 'smug' for posting this, but I will anyway.

Libs really suck at meming. Lame.
I personally think it has to do with being out of touch with reality. But that's just me.

Daughter 2 did it for three weeks lol. Found another job as an attendant at an outdoor ropes course. Less money but she did not enjoy the Amazon environment.

Yes, you can certainly find a job. In terms of internships and career advancement type of jobs for college students, pickings are very slim right now.

The turnover at Amazon warehouses is so high that if you apply online they will hire you sight unseen with no interview.

Haha and I wasn't even talking about Amazon. They're actually the good ones compared to most. But in desperate times you sometimes give things a go you normally would run from..haha. I had a buddy of mine who is a working drummer.. He worked for ups tossing packages for a few years. He said folks would leave in droves in the summertime when lunchtime hit..lol.Glad she got something else.

But my point is you can make money. It's just how much you're willing to suffer.

One of my cousins worked in the oil fields in North Dakota I do believe. Made over 100k a year. Worked long days sometimes 7 days a week for months in some brutal sub-zero cold. **** that.

Hence why I do not go to any kind of rallies. I have an extreme dislike for soy boy estrogen ***** and punching them in the throat would be my first thought of action. I just stay home and train until talking time is over.

These people need to go the **** home and go home soon.

Steelr4evr, what a man's man! Willing to defend the unconstitutional abuse of power and excessive use of force by an umarked, rogue paramilitary force on the streets of America. Ready to throw down with the soccer moms to defend an uncouth, facist authoritarian in the WH. What a brave patriot you are. We can all only dream of aspiring to be as tough and strong as you, a true, red-blooded American. Most importantly, libtards cower in fear from a badass like you, our knees are literally shaking when we see your threats of violence posted on a messageboard.

Yeah, you guys are probably right. Trump's been on top of this thing from the beginning. Who in their right mind would question the President on this?

Give it a rest Troll. Placing videos of peaceful soccer Mom's singing (which no one has a problem with) instead of posting the violent cowards, just shows your level of trollness.

It's all good. This guy posts memes and links from places like Huffpost and the Lincoln Project simply to bait everyone into a knee jerk reaction, with no intention of rational discourse.

Troll like? Absolutely, but as long as you realize he's here for entertainment, his actions are comical. Carry on comrade.

I have no problem with peaceful protests/marches/assemblies.

But if you are blind to the fact that there are significant numbers of opportunist criminals and organized anarchy organizations taking advantage of these protests to do harm then you are foolish and ignorant.

The federal government has every right to try and find the bad apples in these protest environments and prosecute them for crimes they are committing. You can't and shouldn't be able to "hide" in a protest or group of assembled peoples and get away with your crimes. Only a lunatic would think that is acceptable.

Crime is up ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY. Gang related crime and black-on-black crime especially. Idle hands do the devil's work. And with the economy slowed by the pandemic, there are just WAY too many uneducated, idle men and women in this country that have nothing better to do. And the temptation to do criminal acts is all around them (often being subliminally pushed by really bad actors).

You put people outside, in large groups, with the appearance of being anonymous, all it takes is a few bad apples to set off looting, violence and aggression. It is just too easy to get caught up in the moment. But it is still no excuse. And those people that do crimes should be prosecuted. Too many local, city police departments are not doing it.

Ha, I don’t even read the HuffPost nor do I post anything from there. That’s the funny thing w Trump, you can find all the info and analysis you need from conservative sites and sources. Mainly, it’s simply enough to let the man talk, his words speak for themselves. No need for dem/liberal commentary to highlight the obvious.

Troll like? Absolutely, but as long as you realize he's here for entertainment, his actions are comical. Carry on comrade.
I’m glad you’re entertained, as the country burns to the ground - literally & figuratively - under Trump. Sit back & grab some marshmallows.

Oh hell I know, but thank you. This type of truth needs more air play.

I called him yesterday while my other son and I were getting tested. I simply said "How ya doing?" because I'm worried about him mentally, having to be stuck in his room for 14 days. His reply was "Dad [chuckles] I'll recover from this [chuckles]." I said "I know that ha, I meant how ya feeling mentally and spiritually??"

He knows he's fine. I know he's fine. And frankly, even being an asthmatic at 51, I know I'm "super highly likely" fine if I contract it.

Someone told me Clorox helps.

I think he needs to get his *** on over here,so when we all throwdown with these ******** in the not so distance future he can stand with his people and fight.

Despite your repeated threats and juvenile grandstanding, I’ll gladly meet you anywhere, any time. I’ll even buy you beer.

You’ll soon realize I’m not the liberal-commie-anarchist many of you believe. Sure I have full-blown, raging TDS, increasingly so, and for good reason. Because I love this country and hate to see what Trump is doing to it.

I agree with a lot of what you wrote, del, but it's also important to note exactly what is happening in Portland, and elsewhere. This is not normal, nor should it become normal.

What irritates us about YOU is your selective vision. I'm pretty sure I speak for the lot of us when I say this.

Portland is a god damned mess. There are a myriad of problems. On both sides of the equation. What do you harp on relentlessly? One facet, the political asset that carries weight for your side of the argument while willfully dismissing the other problems.

Let me see if I can sum it up:

  • There are some peaceful protesters. We can all agree, no problem with them.
  • There are the violent protesters and rioters.
  • They are looting
  • They are destroying public property
  • They are attempting to destroy FEDERAL property
  • The local Democratic politicians are standing by, doing nothing. Essentially allowing it to happen.
  • Local, indifferent citizens' lives and welfare and businesses are put at grave risk.
  • Because the local politicians refuse to protect the citizens, the Federal Government is put in a no win situation. They are electing to send in Federal support for these citizens, their businesses, to protect Federal property, and apprehend anarchists.

You can see from the list that there are problems all around, except bullet point one. EVERY other bullet is a substantial problem. Each of which needs to be addressed.

What do you harp about? The last bullet point in RED. That's it. It makes you wholly unobjective. The problem is MUCH greater than the last bullet point.

Personally, I wish we didn't have to send in the Feds. But as I heard a commentator say last night, we should do the following. Nothing. Treat it as a local problem. Let the local liberal politicians handle it, which means let them do nothing. And when their cities burn and they ask for Federal help and funding, simply say nope. If you won't let the Federal Government be a part of the solution, if you are going to willfully stand by and let your cities burn, don't send us the bill after.

Nary a peep from you on the problem. You just make it political and harp on those points you think make Trump look bad (vile TDS) without appreciating there is a greater problem. You won't acknowledge those problems at all, admit they are problems, or even venture to state the obvious...they are liberal problems. Democratic cities burn. Have become **** holes of poverty and violence. And you are fine with that process repeating itself for decades.

Pretty hard to hear you say you Love America when you outright voice support for the destruction of her cities through your lack of criticism of these situations.

Mayor of Portlandia has got everything under control........

The Deep State Media and governors have targeted Churches and schools the entire time, and have given WalMart, Amazon, liquor stores, and Home Depot a pass.

We don't vote in WalMart, on Amazon, in liquor stores, nor at Home Depot.

No accident that schools and churches -- the epicenter of our way of life and where we vote -- have been targeted from the start and declared hazardous compared to those places and of course protests in city streets.

It's about November and has been from the start. People can delude themselves otherwise if they wish.

Exactly. They don't want voters showing up in person. They don't want Trump rallies. They don't want Christianity. They don't want small businesses to succeed. They don't want head to head debates between Trump and Creepy. They don't want the economy to bounce back. All of this 2020 chaos is purely about the election and trying to prevent a second term for us good guys. Their efforts will fail.

So that’s why they closed some places and not others in MARCH... because of the election eight months later NOVEMBER. People can delude themselves if they so wish, you’re right about that!
