First draft trade

Can you imagine the steelers with that many 1st round draft picks

Couldn't even come close. When was the last time a STEELERS team had a top ten? I'm thinking 18 years.

I agree but I don't know if they will. His contract will basically have a lot of performance incentives if he does become the starter. If he doesn't, he stays at something more like a backup would be paid. I still read the PG but the pundits on there are all over the place on this and everything Steelers related. I'm starting to look for another place to read real news and real educated opinions about the Steelers.
Yes but you have to get his name on a contract and the language isn't going to be all one way if he is a FA. If you want it that way you will have to pony up a bit this year.

well they drafted Bush at #10 but of course that was a trade up

I believe before that it was in 2000 with the Plaxico pick

Isn't that JUST amazing. People act like cleveland is this some sort of guru in putting a team together but when you look at relevance as to where they draft year in and year out it's amazing how long it took them to get here. PITTSBURGH has done it continously forever and 20+ years out of the top ten in draft.

None of these qbs are worth those prices... if you pay too high of price for your qb, either in terms of acquiring him or robbing the bank to play for him as we have done with Ben you ain’t going to win... the margin between winning and losing in NFL is razor thin. Coaching right now, as the league is set up, with the cap space and such, is more important that who your qb is. Got a good coach, good system, then ya get a qb but dont build a team that requires a 100 million dollar qb to be 8-8 or youll be screwed....

How about building a team with unbelievable talent the last 10 years or so to have coaching that's worth only 8-8........................?

damn....the 49ers got raped....
Agreed but that stupid draft equivalent value chart rates a first rounder next year as a second and a first two years from now as a third..

so in the eyes of a gm they traded two thirds and a second to move up in two rounds ... the short term value looks good on paper but the long term is **** and very high risk.... its tge sign of a desperate gm

A long snapper, a punter, a tiny running back, and a psycho receiver.

Dream team!

Maybe an "upgrade" on a luxury car as well............................................
