Pro Day Results: Post them here

Yeah, kinda disappointed at the very good showings by Werner and Browning. Either would make a very good ILB, I think. Werner is a very good run stopper. I thought his troubles against Alabama had a lot to do with the 'Bama schemes and Werner trying to make 7 tackles on one play, so he might drop into the 4th round.

Hi 4.52 and Browning's 4.58 and 40" vertical now make it unlikely either makes it as far as pick 128. Steelers have too damn many needs to spend an earlier pick on either one.

Landon Dickerson advertising his knees are just fine, thank you.

You say that .... and, maybe it's just me, but, the Steelers sure seem to be talking to a LOT of LBs and CBs. Along with OL (a few) and RBs. QBs, WR, DL not so much. And a few Edge types also.

They are going to draft a CB and OLBer and ILBer just when and where they are trying to mask. Same with T and RB and C. Only thing that could roadblock this if value fell to them.

True, but this draft, the team has significant need at a position where the draft has a lot of talent - OL. Also, the dearth of significant talent at RB makes me think the team has to do something. The more I think about it, I see Etienne at 24 and an OT at 55.

I hear ya. It's just that I can't get past this sneaking suspicion that they have not gotten over their idea of "value at RB can be had in Rd 4". That makes me think it's entirely possible that the earliest they take a RB is Rd 3. A positive sign that they have moved past that philosophy is that Colbert/Tomlin have been at the Pro Days of the top 3 RBs. Of course, word is that they have chatted up Sermon pretty well also.
They do a pretty good job most years of hiding their intent.

thought that KC&Tomlin didn't go to Javonte Williams pro day

I believe you're correct. Wonder what's up with that.

Weren't there overlapping pro days as in the same time frame same day or am I incorrect? Perhaps they split the coaches up to cover different schools.

NC RB Williams stock dropped a little with him only running a 4.55. No way you draft him in Rd. 1.

That's good for us I guess, his 3 cone drill was under 7.0 so he is quick enough

I'd still rather have Harris or Etienne in Rd. 1 or trade up to get one of them in Rd. 2. I will keep preaching it, if we can get a starter on the OL or one of those 2 RB's and then trade up in round 2 to get whichever we didn't get in Rd. 2, that will go a long way to making our run game better than last year. Williams, to me, is a settle pick. I'd settle for him in Rd. 2 if he ended up being BPA. No matter how it shakes out, we need a starting-caliber 3 down RB. Even with Ballage now in the mix, we do not have anyone on the roster who has shown they are capable of that.

which means we go OLB and CB in 1-2

Myers Browning could be good long-term starters as for rb between harris Travis, Williams, or sermon, I feel all would be huge upgrades over Conner and Snell. Sermon makes better cuts than snell and can catch better and effectively get to the outside better.
Browning Mcgrone Moses any I feel would be great guys to pair next to bush as all can cover and with browning size you can use him at a variety of places.

Saw that Trask talked with Tomlin about a month ago.

I know we won't draft him, but Kadarius Toney has some of the quickest feet I've seen..AB level.

Yeah, only possible way the Steelers could get Toney - and it probably won't even be an option - is to use pick 24. Nope.

They don’t call Toney the human joystick for nothing..he’s unreal quick
